Ward looked great. His jab was like a shotgun in that fight. And I honestly dont see anyone beating him right now.
I just cant get over how much Abraham stunk up the place though. He threw basically no punches and when he did he just flailed his arms back to tangle it up with whatever limb was available on Ward's body. How many times in that fight did he have Ward in a headlock?
He threw 9 punches in a ****ing round. I dont care that his style is a tight D and he opens up for flurries. If any professional fighter and former champion only throws 9 punches in a round, just hit the bricks man you dont deserve to headline anymore fights.
On top of that he had the nerve to ****ing say that the scorecards werent that wide?? Are you kidding me what did he do in that fight that even gave him the impression he deserved to win any more then 2 rounds. Maybe his trainer told him that headlocks count on the scorecards.
The compubox also said that Abraham landed 22 combos and Ward landed 24... who the **** was doing compubox Helen Keller? Say what you will about Kellerman, Lampley, Steward, and Merchant as announcers but last night they would have been tearing Abraham apart for that disgusting performance.
168 is probably too much for him. He will defo go back down in weight. I still wouldn't dismiss him as a Euro level fighter. I'm sure back down in the lower weight, he would still be a force in world boxing.
I wouldn't say he is trash, he can be outboxed but he can't be outfought. He was good at 160 on the european level which means he's not a bum, but it seems like he is destined to be a trial horse. they will throw guys in with him and we see if they can survive his power. maybe he isn't the best fighter in the world but who gives a rats ass, i will pay to see him fight anybody
I think his best move now would be to take out the Germany scrubs and make bank while doing.
We all saw that entrance to the Jermaine Taylor fight, AA is a rockstar over there. I sure as hell dont wanna see him fight real boxers anymore.
He did better than the Froch and Dirrell fights.
damn what does that say about his Froch and Dirrell fights then.

I gave Abe one and three.
Abe does not fit at 168, bad career move. Just like cotto at 154 and hatton at 147. It's not their weights, no power, no reach, short. They aren't the type f fitters that should move up.
Ward looked great against a guy he had every concievable advantage over except power. Abe is also a mental midget as far as confidence goes. He had to take a freakin tune up in the middle of the super 6 tourney!!!!!!!!!!!!! (after froch beat his a$$)
AA only throws hooks. So he KO Jermain Taylor in the latter half of their encounter. But Taylor is done. AA is just a step above class B fighter in this weigh class.
I only gave him one round. The third round. And the 4th couldve been scored a legit 10-8 round.
AA reminds me of Shane in the sense that he gets discouraged REAL QUICK. Hes only confident ina fight when hes having success if something isnt going his way he gets wild and crazy. Cant do that against a surgeon like Ward he'll pick you apart.
AA conserves his punches for a reason. He doesnt have the best stamina and only throws power punches. So when he came out like Nascar the first 3 rounds it took a lot out of him and Ward just started tagging him.
