I'm starting to think the Europeans on this board and whoever else don't want to see black fighters succeed.
Ward put on a dominating performance, 10-2 on two cards and 12-0 and all he gets from the Europeans on this board and others, "oh he ran, he's a boring fighter, he couldn't sell out the Home Depot Center" when after the Green fight he was mauled for impressive fighting on the inside, and last night Abraham holds more and does more dirty tactics that he does and Ward still gets it.
Dirrell, went to Froch and schooled him and got robbed, and then schooled and undefeated fighter in Abraham but instead of giving him credit for a masterful performace, he is knocked for faking against an obvious hit while he was down, knocked for using effective footwork and angles, which is what some of you idiots who've never been in the ring call running. Newsflash - Dirrell doesn't have to put his health on the line, or any other fighter to impress you cowards.
Berto is accused for a long time of getting paid millions for fighting bums, then finally he steps up in class and gets beat by Ortiz and now he's a bum and exposed himself?! But if he would of beat Ortiz, "oh ortiz was a coward, berto is a hypejob, ortiz was coming off a draw against peterson, berto needs to stop fighting junior ww's".
And don't even get me started on Dawson. He's an excellent fighter. He loses to the WBC lightheavyweight champ and now he's exposed?! Alexander loses to Bradley who is another excellent fighter and now he's a bum?!
How can black fighters win, even when they win clearly, they still lose.
I don't think anybody with half a mind looks down on these fighters BECAUSE they are black, I think it's more a certain ring style that people don't like and eight out of ten the guy just happens to be black.
whatever that style is, people aren't buying it right now. What people are buying is not rocket science, they want a guy who displays courage, resoluteness and strong positive values like country, family and spirituality and that is not a bad thing and doesn't mean you want to see brawlers block punches with their face. remember, this isn't fencing and it isn't even "pure" boxing, this is professional prize-fighting, millions of dollars at stake.
It is what it is, you have to be mature and realize that the color of a persons skin doesn't tell you anything about their character. if someone makes it about race over and over again, it says more about the speaker than the subject
Is this TS kidding? Look at the Bradley episode.
If that was Khan ducking Bradley, everyone not just blacks would be all over Khan. And I'm not even a Khan fan.
Hilariously, I think 99% of the disaffection leveled at P-Will around here stems back to Burner's fondness of him.
Nah man. P will was hated on despite burner's man crush all Paul will.
Ward is getting bated on something serious to.
You know what's funny I don't see black posters disrespecting other races boxers.
Sh1t has been like that for a min.
1 fighter in particular that I don't know why he gets hated on is paul will. Dude fought everybody. And he has a fan friendly style.

I think it's more of an anti-American sentiment than an anti-black sentiment. A lot of non-Americans seem to have a bit of an inferiority complex, which is exacerbated by a lot of the Americans having massive superiority complexes.
Plus the dominating African American fighters today are too defensive-minded to really ingratiate themselves with the more casual boxing audience.
