What about Donaire?
Good point. The little guy slipped my mind.
In that case Id say it will be a 3 man race.
Ward
Donaire
Gamboa
One of them will be p4p Number 1 in no less than 2 years.
Froch? No doubt.
Bute? No chance in hell. I don't know why people like him. Since he got a gift against Andrade, he KO'd Andrade (like he should have), Brinkley, Miranda, and Magee. His resume blows compared to Ward's and it's not even close..
people like him cuz he blows guys up, plus he's been much more impressive vs common opponents than ward.
c'mon kev, everyone likes a ko artist.
and that wan't a gift, his glove was off the canvass a within 10 seconds and time was up
Yet your argument is that the only thing that separates Ward and Bute is Kessler. You say that Andrade and Abraham are equal. If so, the difference is that Ward dominated Abraham in one fight. He didn't need two fights to get it right or a referee to save him from a KO. Maybe you can enlighten us when that happened to Ward.
WTF are you talking about? I said and I keep saying it wins over Berrio, Bika, and Andrade are just as good if not better than wins over Green, Bika, and Abraham. How can you say otherwise when you look at what they have done at 168? And, yes the only reason I rank Ward higher is because of that Kessler win. But, besides that win their resume's are on par with each other. With Bute probably having the edge.
LOL @ looking at just one fight or one win. If that's the game we're playing then Bute>>>>Ward because he was much much more impressive against Bika than what Ward and Calzaghe were. You see how silly that sounds?
The question is when did that ever happen to Ward? Since there seems to be a debate on who should rank higher.
ward should rank higher than bute for sure based on accomplishment. but people are overrating his accomplishments
If I had to answer today. Id say YES.
Pac and Floyd have spent the last few years not doing much of anything and Martinez isnt getting any younger.
Ward will have his chance at a big win that can put him at 1.
What about Donaire?
The American writers will try to make him p4p #1.
But he's not really all that talented, or he wouldn't need to resort to illegal tactics like deliberate headbutts and hitting off the break.
Both Froch and Bute should be ranked ahead of him right now.
Froch? No doubt.

Big difference between losing to Ward, Froch, and Dirrell as opposed to losing to Aaron Pryor jr. But if you think Andrade is as credible Abraham more power to you.
WTF has AA done at 168? What to make him a top opponent? I have asked that question 3 times already and nobody has giving me an answer? Because he stopped 2 guys who had done **** in the division and a bum? That's all he has done at 168. What makes him a top opponent at 168? What? What he did at 160? Because, of what he did at 160? OK man :fing02:
bute dominated the entire first fight with andrade but ran out of gas. he traines harder now and you see the results.

He didn't stop Bute but whatever if he did, he did. That means that Bute stoppage for Andrade favor is much much better than anything AA has done. So for Bute to go and stop him in 4 afterwards to remove all doubts ****s on anything Ward has done excluding the Kessler win.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....I get it, so what you done in one division counts for another division as well...
ahhh...OK
:lol1:

Not to mention Andrade basically stopped Bute.
I noticed Bute supporters never want to include that.

I think you talking about he fight against one of the chin checkers Curtis Stevens where Dirrell just basically ran all night. It was horrible to watch.
yes, that's it. the dude brinkley beat down.
dirrell steadily looked better every fight after until he just seemed to lose it. he improved after giving away the froch fight even (which I thought he won)
i like peter quillin, he has very good power and now that he trains at the wild card with roach i think he will improve a lot. he beat brinkley easily.
as for ward being #1 P4P i'm not sure if he'll be first but he be as high as 3 atleast, it all depends on the other fighters getting big fights, he's lucky that he is in the super six, it's been great for his reputation. I'd like to see him fight bute after the tourney.
Abraham was a world champion and unbeaten at 160. I would say that's better than anything Andrade has done. I also can't see Abraham losing to Aaron Pryor Jr.

Berrio has been stopped twice and his overall competition is not even close to Abraham's. Abraham has never been stopped.
He was coming off 2 solid wins over Steigletz and Mack. AA doesn't have a win at 168 better than those 2 wins.
But, I get it we going to count his MW reign as if he has been as impressive at 168 as he was at 160 :dunce:
I dont like that being used as an excuse. Its a round robin tourney. You will end up fighting a guy who lost in the tourney it will happen. Its the way the tourney is set up to get multiple match ups with the various fighters.
He fought a guy who lost his last 2 fights in the tourney. The only reason he only lost 2 out of his last 3 fights. Is because he fought an absolute bum who got injured in some weird way early in the fight as a tune up.
Kessler, AA, Bika, Green is nothing to sneeze at. Kessler and Abe would be the best fighters on Butes resume imo. I cant really take him serious right now Magee, Mendy, Brinkley, Miranda. Those dudes in the S6 are working their butts off including AA who just fought Taylor, Dirrell, Froch and Ward back to back to back. Bute is fighting Jean Paul Mendy.
What has AA done at 168 to make him a better win than Berrio, Bika, and Andrade? KO Taylor, KO Miranda, beat a bum? WTF had Miranda and taylor done at 168 to make AA impressive in that division?
If AA, Bika, and Green "is nothing to sneeze at" then neither is Bika, Berrio, and Andrade. Hell the latter might be more impressive than the former TBH.
Again the only thing that puts Ward over the top is the Kessler win.
i agree with this, its exactly what I was thinking after I typed my last respones to you. such a shame too because I thought dirrell was the most impressive boxer in the tourney by far. he was steadily improving a ton as well compared to his espn fnf fight that was a snoozefest and earned his the "gazelle" nickname. I can't remember who he fought right at this second and I don't feel like looking it up.
