Roach's main concern on Saturday after yet another Pacquiao victory was the cramp that had hampered the Filipino southpaw in his left leg from the fourth round on.
It's something you can have when you have such big calves," Roach said. "It does happen here and there and we've had that problem a couple of times in the past, mostly in the gym. We have exercises to try to cope with that.
"He had no leverage to move after it happened tonight. It was a very gutsy performance in my mind because of the handicap in his leg."
Roach was also frustrated by Pacquiao's ultra-friendly demeanor in the ring with Mosley, a fighter who has yet to be knocked out after 54 professional fights.
"I wish Manny had got more aggressive a little sooner," Roach said. "I asked him: 'Why are you touching gloves with this guy? Is he your friend?' I hate that. I hate that in a fighter.
"I said to him: 'Make it personal and knock this guy out. Show the world how good you are.' He said to me he was trying but that his leg hurt."

Bump this sh1t. I realized after making the poll that I refused to vote for either option. It's really hard to tell at this point. I think he just needs a competitive fighter to bring that spirit back. Hope Roach gets it through to his head that this friendly sh1t is not acceptable. There were signs of it during Cotto and Margarito.
Yes, there is nothing wrong with touching gloves. But when a fighter touches gloves more than throwing, that's a major problem.
Exactly,
how annoying was it even the Mayweather fight.
It's fine to do it just not every damn time.
sportsmanship at its best, nothing wrong with touching gloves. It has nothing to do with killer instincts at all. And if the leg hurts, it's not an alibi.Yes, there is nothing wrong with touching gloves. But when a fighter touches gloves more than throwing, that's a major problem.

Mosley was the one who was initiating the touching gloves. What is Pac gonna do just dart in and throw a uppercut? Shane and Naz have been extremely classy during the build up of the fight and you don't fight dirty against someone you respect.
And I think Shane was trying to play mind games. After getting hit harder than you've ever been in your entire career and that includes against USS Cunninham than you would be trying to touch gloves ever chance you got as well.

after that third round mosley just looked like he wanted the pay check - he made no effort to win - as for manny yeah **** all this glove touching **** ... first time in 12 or 13 fights that manny clearly looked like he has disimproved fight on fight - he looked good in the 10th, 11th,12th when he finally started to up the pace but certainly didn't have the old manny killer instinct before then
disagree....IMO Mosely ran for his life pretty much after the knockdown in the 3rd.
Mosley used movement and Pacquiao missed with wild punches trying to get to him countless times, a younger Mosley would have countered him all night long.
I don't buy that leg cramp ****, in the last few rounds of the Cotto fight he was missing with wild punches and couldn't pin him down. Mosley stayed off the ropes and Pac couldn't deal with his movement and close him down, it's just that simple.

Winning has become a habit and when there is no danger of losing its hard to push a fight, especially when the other opponent dont want none of it and is nice guy SSM.
agree........

Manny should have gave ricky hatton the respect, look at what he did to our hero, made him go into rehab and do coke.
I dont think manny wants to kill anyone anymore..
I almost threw my drink at the TV I was so mad at Mosley for his hugging and glove touching and for Pac to reciprocate. I'm glad Freddie caught that and it should be a lesson learnt for Pacquiao not to do that again.
And, saying Shane Mosley was a disappointments is a huge understatement.

those cramps are becoming regular even in the gym...
I heard a specially design shoe might help. A regiment of stretching exercises before any strenuous leg activities can relieve tightness. This kind of stretching exercises are common with marathon runners. They also regularly massage the leg muscles to loosen them up.
I believe he lost his killer instinct, but not because he can't go for the kill. I think he sees how superior he is where without full exertion he is dominating guys, and he feels pity for his opponents. After 10 rounds Pacquiao slowed down and kept looking at the ref to save Margarito. I saw Pac trying to hurt him a bit, but when he saw that Margo had too much pride to go down or quit he felt bad for him. I believe when he gets in the ring with Floyd, and if Floyd is able to hurt him at any point Pac will no longer be Mr. Nice guy.
I don't think Manny has lost his killer instinct, he is who he is. He's not some blood thirsty mexican fighter, he's always been this way but at the same time he can be deadly at times too, when he fought Clottey he unloaded everything in his arsenal for 12 rounds, and the same against Cotto & Margarito, the Marg fight should've been stopped IMO
He dominated Shane. I don't care for his glove touching or his legs. The point is that he got the job done. I just can't criticize Manny for being a friendly human being.
He showed Margs some mercy and I'm glad he did tbh.
