Pacquiao would have to come down in weight to fight Marquez unless he is willing to meet at a catchweight.
Mayweather seems like he's going to pass on fighting Pacquiao, so this is out of question right now.
Martinez is supposedly to big for Pacquiao, and they'd have to meet at 154. But Martinez would probably be drained coming down in weight - he is naturally more suited at 160.
Khan and Pacquiao are both to good friends to fight one another. Pacquiao even had mercy on Mosley last night, so I think it'd be another glorified sparring match.
The only viable opponent I can think of is Ortiz, nobody else can challenge Pacquiao other than him. Forget these washed up guys who are there to survive vs Pacquiao without intentions of even winning.
Who else is out there for Pacquiao? I honestly think he has nothing to really prove other than beat Mayweather but it's unlikely to ever happen.
Seriously guys, where can Pacquiao go from here? His options are very limited right now.
My only gripe with Ortiz is the fact that he too may mail it in after getting put on his ass. Don't get me wrong his fight with Berto was a thing of beauty, but seeing him mail it in before doesn't give me too much confidence that he won't do it again.
And that's why it should even happen. Ortiz may come back to fight once he gets touched up, but history proves other wise. Sorry, but I see him actually quitting again in this fight if it ever happened.
Pac-Marquez would be fun to watch, but pointless legacy-wise. I also think
Pac's win would be a foregone conclusion, given JMM's last performance.
Pac-Martinez would be fun to watch and if a strap is on the line despite the
near certainty of a catchweight, offers legacy points. A big plus is that Pac
gets to play the david vs. Goliath angle one more time.
Pac-Ortiz offers the appeal of a unification bout, and the styles involved
could make it fun to watch... until Ortiz fully realizes the trouble he's
gotten himself into and implodes again.
Khan, moreso Bradley, bring very little to the table.
Ortiz would be a matter of unification, and a good show, but also foregone conclusion.
So you're saying Pacquiao has no real legit opponent left out there other than Mayweather? Because this is how I feel... Whatever Pac does from here on is almost pointless.
No one really brings much to the table other than Mayweather.
I don't think neither Bradley, Ortiz, Marquez, can beat Pacquiao. Martinez and Mayweather are pretty much out of the equation.
It's time to retire if Mayweather doesn't want to fight in the next year I think, Pacquiao has nothing to prove now.
Then who do you suggest dude? No one is happy with who'm pacquiao fights nowadays, he cannot win.
Marquez would be considered blown up - Martinez would be weight drained - Bradley to small.
What can he do? I don't think Pacquiao can please anyone anymore brah.
I agree with you, but what I want him to do is face someone who would atleast try to give themselves a chance to win....especially after they get touched up.
The only names right now are Marquez and Bradley. Those are the only two guys that will bring it against Manny, so either will do.

Nothing you can do about that. Anyone he fights will be complained about and 'boycotted' until the week of the fight, then everyone will jump on the bandwagon as usual. Pacquiao-Ortiz=Pacquiao-Diaz, except without Diaz's heart and pain tolerance. Honestly, JMM is seen as the only viable threat to Manny outside of the vacationer but in reality the toughest fight for Pac would be Cotto at 154... as sad as that is, it's the truth.
There's no one left. Time to build up new names.
I rather see Ortiz than Bradley. Ortiz is a more entertaining and ferocious fighter, assuming he keeps the same mentality from the Berto fight.
My only gripe with Ortiz is the fact that he too may mail it in after getting put on his ass. Don't get me wrong his fight with Berto was a thing of beauty, but seeing him mail it in before doesn't give me too much confidence that he won't do it again.
Aside from Floydie, not really. The only reason I want him to see him fight JMM is to bring closure to their history.
People seriously need to stop throwing Sergio's name into the mix. Use some common sense please. Pacquiao couldn't even make 150 and gave up 17 pounds to Margo. How much more do you think Sergio will have on him if he fought him at 154? 22 or 25 pounds? For the people so hell bent on seeing Manny lose just watch the replays of his first 3 losses and jerk off to them.
Sorry bro, but after watching Clottey and Mosley, the last thing I want to see him do is face another mental midget in Victor Ortiz. Ortiz doesn't have the heart to compete with Pacquiao.

JMM and Bradley are the most realistic and credible opponents.
JMM would be a tarnished win because of the weight though, he struggles to put the weight on. I think Pacquiao demolishes him, and we'd hear how Pacquiao fought a blown up JMM....
Bradley is an Okay opponent but I see no further than Ortiz. Ortiz is the most credible opponent and a legit 147ber out there. There are no excuses for this fight; no catchweights. Both fighters would go toe-to-toe and Ortiz would actually want to 'fight' something past Pacquiao opponents haven't wanted to do.
he should fight ortiz or martinez.
i'm pretty sure pac can handle martinez even if martinez came in at 165. tired of PPV sparring sessions
edit: or better yet, floyd should just challenge pac on the spot after yesterday. floyd doesnt need to have pac take OST. i mean, come on.
Yeah but you know Roach wouldn't allow this. Martinez would be a solid opponent for Pacquiao, but a very dangerous one.
Floyd could beat Pacquiao without the tests in my opinion. Pacquiao is human and can be beaten, but Mayweather doesn't fancy his chances.
I know people say they want Marquez, but Marquez and coming in weight doesn't go together. Marquez is 135ber and no more, Pacquiao will demolish him and yet we'll hear more about cherry picking.
Ortiz is a WIN - WIN for Pacquiao. A legitimate showdown between the two, and no excuses for either opponent where Marquez, Martinez, are questionable choices.
If Pac is complaining about his leg, then he should retire. If that leg doesn't heal a fight with Mayweather will be a disaster for him. Basically, this Floyd-Pac is done. I'm hoping for a Floyd-Khan.
