Scores were 119-108, 120-108, 120-107. How did pac get 120 on 2 scorecards?!
What about the Knockdown?! I know it was a completely BS Knockdown and one of the worst decisions i've seen in boxing in a while. But since the ref called it a KD, surely the judges have to honor that? Just like for BS point deductions they have to deduct a point!
I thought Pac clearly won the round. But coz of the KD, surely pac cant get more than 9 points for that round. SO how did he end up with 120 points?
Am i missing something
those two judges did'nt take points off pac becuase altho it was ruled a kd, it was clearly a slip...one judge scoerd it a 9-9...shane did'nt win a single round on all of the judges scorecards..
I think what happened is that Manny totally dominated the round and had Mosley reeling. I think they saw the bad call so in essence gave pac a 10-8 round for his dominance to cancel out the bad knockdown. So with the 10 point must system, they made it a 10-10 round.
Manny was destined to fall there though. Not only was he off balance from throwing his own punch, but was also pushed while Mosley's left foot was on top of right foot!hehe
I thought it was because
Pac still won the round even tho he recieved a "knock down"
So you cant have a round end 9-9 unless a point is deducted from a illegal blow(i think)
so the round finished 10-10....and the judges may have given pac a 10-8 round for all we know
Anyway Im not 100% sure but thats what i THINK
The Push happened infront of the 2 judges, so they saw it was a push. Like the guy above said they are the judges, they can score it whatever they want, they usually follow the Ref's call. This is like when you make a deal with a prosecutor in court and he tells the judge that u guys made a deal, the judge doesnt have to honor it but 99.99% they do.
Same thing here, the 2 guys who gave it for Manny saw it was a BS Knock Down and didnt count it cuz they were right infront of it or saw it on the instant replay. This is smart judging.
No.
12 rounds times 10 point is 120
12 rounds times 9 point is 108 but
Shane got knocked down, so it would be 11*9 plus 8 point round=107
One of them did not score the knocked down but the other one scored the round a 10-10
10 round times 9 points is 90 points plus an 8 point round plus a 10 point round
90+8+10=108

I thought Mosley kd was supposed to make it a 10-8 round, seeing how PAC still won the round, that should've been a 9-9 round.
did u guys missed the 3rd round kdown of mosley??
,, both guys got a kdown so that cancels out
No, It does not cancel out.
Those 2 judges probably scored the Mosley knockdown of Pac a 10-10 cuz Pac just went after Mosley.
Yes, they did.
It was a BS knockdown so the judges could care less. If you do the math one judge scored it even 10-10, the other 10-9 in favor of PAC and the generous one scored it 10-9 Mosley.
The Judges had the best view when Mosley pushed Pacq. and they saw the replay, they not going to give mosley 10-8 or even 9-9 cuz they know its BS, Judges DONT need to listen to REF. THEY are the Judges and the Ref is a REF.
The do not have monitors to watch the replay.
The judges must have scored the round 10-10 even thought the ref called a knock down.
Pac might just be the only person to get 'knocked down' and still score 10 points in the round :lol1:
Quite ridiculous.
Although it obviously wasn't a KD but the fact is the ref called it as one and regardless to what the judges opinion on the matter is there is still no way you can score someone 10 points in a round the ref called a KD in.
But hey, It's Pacqiauo.
Judges have a replay monitor? So when a ref takes a point away, he's actually talking to the fans not judges.
The KD was BS, but once the ref starts counting, it's a KD, judges don't decide knockdowns, the ref does.
Pacquiao was winning 10-9, Mosley scored KD and scores become 10-10. That's it, supposed to be 9-9, but sometimes judges also give 10-10.
The reason why the round was a 10-10 round was because the fight was 10 point must system, Which mean that Pacquiao won the round but Mosley got the Knocked down which would make it 9-9 but it has to be 10-10.
Note: Atleast one of the fighters have to get 10 points in the round

it happened in prizefighter too (not the one last night, the one before it).
Ahhh yes I remember that.
Equally as ridiculous.
But that guy actually lost which was worse!

Did the announcers say it cuz they saw the scorecards or they are assuming it because that is how they/media scored it?
the announer said it specifically about the officital judges score cards after they were released.
WTF,,, I just read my first reply n i cnt fkkn believe i said that lol,,, my bad people i apologize im on 2-hour sleep n fkkkkn hungover....
I'm man enough to admit when I say stupid sht , which is more than wat alot of people on here can say.....
oh n yea, i do watch boxing.

wtf you on about. lol.
the 3rd round KD has nothing at all to do with the scoring for the 10th round ''knockdown''.
the ref's HAVE to honor the ref's decision of a knockdown. despite it being BS. so theres no way Manny could have had 10 points that round!
yet he ended up with 120 points. which makes no sense
It was a BS knockdown so the judges could care less. If you do the math one judge scored it even 10-10, the other 10-9 in favor of PAC and the generous one scored it 10-9 Mosley.
but it still doesn't explain why the announcer said pac lost at least one round on all the judges scorecards.
Did the announcers say it cuz they saw the scorecards or they are assuming it because that is how they/media scored it?
did u guys missed the 3rd round kdown of mosley??
,, both guys got a kdown so that cancels out
No it doesn't. They were two different rounds. The second you lose a round, it's impossible to get 120. Even if they both put eachother down 20 times.
