Different fights, and of course everyone is trying to compare them.
The two main differences are:
Floyd fight: Shane was chasing Floyd most of fight trying to land that big punch. He was losing every round except maybe the 3rd where he hurt him, so he had a punches chance. But Floyd dominated the distance and tempo of the fight. (Chasing)
Pac Fight: Shane was hurt and wasn't fighting to win only to survive (backing up). Pac was dominating aswell but he was going chasing shane trying to get the KO.
The similarities are with Shane himself:
Not listening to his coach
Gassing
Losing confidence
No mean streak
Once again fanboys not boxing fans are making 100 topics flaming each other without taking into account that these fights were completely different.
Did this fool say that shane was chasing Floyd when Floyd walked shane Dow. The whole fight and stood infront of himk? Definition if a Hater, clown ass
So what everyone is saying that Floyd was chasing down Mosley like Pac was the entire fight. Ahhh ok.
Mosley was still trying to win rounds in the Floyd fight, After the 6-7th was giving up, and that's when Floyd was walking him down not chasing.
Where as Pac was chasing him down most if not all of the fight, Mosley was hurt and was afraid of getting tagged again for the rest of the fight.
Amazing how people pick up one sentence from the entire thread, and only comment on that one thing. I said both fighters dominated Mosley in their own way and comparing the fights is stupid.
Mosley showed the same faults in both those fights. But I would assume taking the whole argument into account is too much for some people.
No. Nothing was physically wrong with Manny, it's just his head was in his @ss. Bro I sh1t you not I keep making replies about that last night and said I didn't like his body language prior to the fight.
We saw his fire after that b.s. KD, and if he would have done that the whole fight, he would have destroyed Shane. I think we can all agree on that......but yeah I don't know what his problem was last night, I just know his head wasn't where it should have been last night.
that was kind of strange.
he's declining?

Let's keep it real, if Manny would have destroyed Shane like he should have and could have, then those same guys would be saying you can't compare those fights because there two different styles.
I can see people looking at the little things Manny did wrong last night and using that to analyze how Manny vs Floyd might look like, but in reality Manny looked like sh1t last night, not because of Mosley, but because of himself.
Even prior to the fight, his whole fire, and energetic personality wasn't there and he looked flat as hell. I never seen him pull some sh1t like that before, and I'm curious as to what was up with him.
just my two cents.
Yeah, he didn't look to have the same intensity as usual, seemed content just to go through with the fight rather than trying to win. Only seemed to get that intensity when he got knocked down, would've made for a better fight if he started the fight like that.
But in regards to the thread, Mosley - Mayweather fight, Mosley wasn't chasing Mayweather at all, it was Mayweather pressing the action trying to get things done.
Actually, what bothered me about both fights was the amount of times Mosley wanted to touch gloves. I mean, I'm all for good sportsmanship, but there has to be a limit and really annoyed me in Mosley - Pac. At least Mayweather wouldn't do it and just continued fighting. Mosley needs to cut that out.

Thats not what happen at all. 1st off Mosley landed the punch in the 2nd round, not the 3rd and Floyd was coming forward the vast majority of that fight. Even Manny Steward was talking about how Floyd is trying to walk him down and fight him. Stop making things up

yep and both boxers have 2 different styles
another difference is that pac is way too nice to mosley. pac didn't hit mosley when mosley backed out of the clinches, wifebeater did.
Pac did seem to want the knockout but both spent at least a round touching gloves. I was watching with some guys from Chicago and New Orleans and the way there mentality through the fight was amazing.
