That was the one thing that had me completely convinced Pacquiao would beat Mayweather, he had a heart and hunger for boxing that wouldn't be denied. It didn't matter what his opponent was doing, he was coming at you and throwing punches, and if saw he could hit you he kept hitting you. I haven't seen that Pacquiao since the Cotto fight. The Pacquiao from that fight would have jumped on Mosley after knocking him down. He wouldn't have been content to win a decision against a guy completely out of his league.
I would assume it was Mosley's style that made Pacquiao look like that, but in the last three rounds, after Mosley's throwdown, Pacquiao woke up and he beat the hell out of Mosley. He went at him throwing, and landed just fine. If he had that fire the whole fight he would have stopped Mosley, because Mosley couldn't handle it. I can't believe Pacquiao has reached the same point Mayweather did years ago, where he no longer cared about proving his opponent didn't belong in the ring with him, and was content to just beat him with ease.
So, yeah, Mayweather beats him and beats him easily. This is why this fight needed to happen back in 2010 after Pacquiao beat Cotto, and at least after he beat Clottey and Mayweather beat Mosley. If it happens now, it will be a no edge or hunger Pacquiao against a part time, who the hell knows what fighting condition he is in Mayweather. Screw them both. Outside of the history section, where I can talk about these two ATG fighters when they were hungry and worthy of our attention, you can consider this the last time I talk about them. I don't care if they fight each other this year, I don't care if they fight Ortiz, short of fighting Martinez I just don't care what either does.
Give him someone who will light the fire in his belly like JMM or Floyd, you'll see the eye of the tiger in him again. Pac reciprocates, that's the kind of person he is...
Ever think this might just have been a case of Mosley running too much and Pac couldn't get to him as much as he'd have liked? I know in the Cotto fight an already badly damaged Cotto had Manny frustrated just the same for a quite a few rounds by backing away. And did you miss the KD? Did that look like Manny didn't want to hurt him?
Honestly, this talk about Mayweather now being a sure thing to school Pac on the back of a fight Pac won by shutout and had an opponent hurt and running for his life, who'd always been known as a warrior that fought to the end, is all bull**** and probably wishful thinking especially from the part of Floyd fans. It's good though, maybe now Floyd will get his urge back now that Manny didn't look superhuman and people are writing him off.
;10499063']Wow, these idiots make me sick to my stomach. Pacquiao didn't lose anything. This is the first time in 3 years he's faced a fighter who wasn't flat footed and standing right in front of him.
Remember the flomos saying "Pacquiao has good matchmaking" this was a perfect example of that being true. Shane is usually a flat footed boxer.
I would have accepted that if Pacquiao struggled to win, not shut Mosley out and beat up Mosley the last three rounds when he finally started throwing. I would accept that if he had tried his hardest to get Mosley out of there in the third when he knocked him down, not touched gloves and acted friendly. I would also accept that if Pacquiao hadn't let Margarito survive the 12 rounds. It's a pattern at this point, he knows he's good enough to take mercy and he does.
He liked Cotto, they were respectful, he still went out there and refused to let the man survive the 12 rounds. That Pacquiao wouldn't have touched gloves after knocking Mosley down.
That's true, but that was his first serious endeavour at the weight as they knew Cotto wasn't going to be like Oscar. It was a different challenge to Clottey and Margarito and Mosley.
Mayweather becomes a different challenge. And to a lesser extent JMM.
With the right opponent he'll have that edge again. The pre-fight talk and some hard right counters from either of them will have Pac riled and wanting to kill them. He hasn't lost it. There's just been no real need for it.

Excuses starting already :D
No excuses. Mayweather isn't in any better position than Pacquiao. If anything he has more excuses if he lost to Pacquiao than Pac does for losing to Mayweather. Besides, excuses only come in handy when one fighter isn't hiding in Las Vegas making internet videos.
I'm just looking at why I was convinced Pacquiao wins before this, and why I no longer can. I'll stick with my Pacquiao prediction since I have this long, but I can't give you a reason Pacquiao will win.
Pacquiao doesn't want to be there anymore. He was ferocious in his past fights, and he gave Mosley far to much respect. Pacquiao is becoming to nice in the ring, he even carried Margs for the last two rounds.
It's safe to say Pacquiao is losing his fire in the ring, he isn't a man of hunger anymore.
Pac is still ferocious. There is a reason Margaritos face was like that afterall. Its just Pac is so dominant that he can ease up and still win. He dont have to fight to the end to get the win, its already in the bag for him.
I knew he wouldnt want to kill SSM because SSM is a nice guy who didnt insult pac, other than say he thinks he has the power to knock pac out.

I think it's largely the opponent.
If it's Mayweather that edge will be there due to the history.
Also with JMM. It's clear they respect each other, but JMM's talk and t-shirt wearing gives the impression the build-up won't be all smiles and handshakes as with Mosley.

With shin splints Pac just cant perform 100%. If Floyd dont want this pac now, when will he want Pac.
He dont want Pac to be too obviously past it and shop worn before taking him, because that defeats the object. He should fight and beat a near prime Pac.
