I've always read around these parts that hes his own boss.
So, just a bit curious as to when he signed with Golden Boy.
Anybody know the terms of the contract?
According to Lodge, the negotiations and various discussions started in January 2011 with Mohlaleng and VisionQwest on a project to bring Pacquiao and Mayweather to fight in South Africa in honor of Nelson Mandela's 93rd birthday. Both companies began discussions with Manny Pacquiao (represented by Top Rank) and Floyd Mayweather (represented by Jeff Mayweather and Al Haymon). No final agreement was reached around the financial arrangements, and all parties amicably agreed to end discussions.

No mention of Golden Boy (or blood tests), and Jeff Mayweather confirmed all this (including the $50 mil/person offer and Floyd wanting $100 mil for himself). Arum even hinted that King was working on behalf of Floyd in all that.
Floyd is not signed to Golden Boy and they are not necessary to make any fight involving him.
dude, u thrive in these threads, ehh?? do u guys think ur making any arguments that no1 else has already made? i dont get it. ur not a floyd fan, floyd isnt even boxing. wouldnt be perfect to forget about him? how do u do that? by not making/commenting in threads about him! u guys are experts in futility, imo.

do you really believe cotto or margarito in their prime can beat even a old floyd???
Yes. But as usual, Floyd was too p ussy to fight either one of them, so he "retired".
The only fighter Floyd fought in their prime in the last six years, was Hatton. And even then, he made him move up a weight class.
You could have just summed it up by saying Floyd is scared of fighting a top welterweight in their prime.

Golden Boy wasn't even involved with the negotiations with the South African delegation led by Michael Lodge and Nelson Mandela's daughter. That deal was killed by a 'money dispute' (the negotiations and parties involved all confirmed by a lawsuit obtained by TMZ so that 'it never happened' bullsh*t won't fly, no mention of no fight because of blood testing) with Arum claiming Floyd demanded $100 mil, and that he has the text from Lodge confirming this.
Has nothing to do with GBP, Don King, or any other promoter. Floyd and his family/handlers (especially his own pops :lol1:) want NOTHING to do with Pacquiao in the ring. Fight is never going to happen, never was. Time to move on.
i think its a mayweather/haymon, hbo, golden boy circle jerk that is shooting blanks, and has been for awhile
there is nothing written down per se, in the form of a contract, but there is a certain understanding that exists between the aforementioned parties
Why would a fight with Floyd be terminated, if hes not one of their fighters, nor signed to them?
hes suing floyd, gbp and floyds father.......he said the defamed manny and doesnt wanna deal with them...why when you get a logical answer you dont wanna hear you ignore it??
Floyd is not signed to Gbp he has his own promotional company, but he uses gbp to co promote his fights and do his negotiations. so yet he might not be signed but gbp handles his negotiations, Arum is not dealing with gbp. Plus the lawsuit is holding **** up to, so there are many factors as why the fight has not happened. So lets review Arum - Floyd bad blood over money while Floyd fought with Top Rank, Floyd hasn't dealt with Arum, you could base the Marg and Cotto fight not happening on that, Arum filing a lawsuit against Mayweather, gbp, etc. Arum not dealing with gbp who apparently handles Floyds negotiations and co promotes. Floyd has agreed to everything Arum and Manny want including 50/50, ring size and gloves. So we can continue to blame mayweather, but these are the facts

Seriously this is your answer? WTF!!! The lawsuit Manny filed has nothing to do with who promotes who so why even bring PBF not being a GBP fighter into the equation with the question I asked.
Since we all know PBF is not a GBP fighter. What do you think it means in terms of a PBF vs Manny fight with Arum stating "The lawsuit terminates everything"? Since PBF is named in the lawsuit in case you didn't know.

what about pac lawsuit vs pbf and his family you dont think that could hold up this fight.
Arum also said that the lawsuit terminates everything. What did you take that statement to mean in terms of PBF?

But hes not a Golden Boy fighter.
What part don't you get about that?
There is no reason why he can't work out a deal to fight Manny.
No reason at all.
But we know he doesn't really want that fight.
1. I never said he was a gb fighter all i said if he want to fight under Gb banner for his next fight he can and the fact that GB and TR are not doing Business will effect if the fight gets made.
2. And there have been lots of reason this fights have not be made yet.
But hes not a Golden Boy fighter.
