This is what makes the fight interesting for me this weekend. Did you see how badly Pac responded to Margaritos body punches when they eventually landed? He's not some kind of superman like some people think. The punches at these heavier weights WILL hurt him if they land. Mosley couldn't land consistently on Floyd because he's so defensive minded - he fights best moving backwards. Pac will be all up in his face ready to hit. Shane has fast hands. **** someone convince me otherwise because I'm tempted to put some money on Mosley by KO.
Shane loaded up on Margarito more. Those were all bombs.
exactly, Shane was trying to literally knock Margairto's head-off. He wont be able to do that to Pacman the consistently, unless he stuns him first. He'll need to land the straighter quicker punches as he don't on Floyd in the second round.
Pacquiao came in softer than usual for the Margarito fight and was hurt by a body shot from a great body puncher weighing 165 pounds. Not the same as Mosley landing one right hand. I'd be shocked if Pacquiao was knocked out by one shot from Mosley, Mosley has power but doesn't take people out in one shot.
I think they will respect Shane kinda like they did Oscar somewhat.. which may sound funny as Pac abused Oscar like a lil b1tch. But Pac went in and out a lot.. vs Oscar he got his punches off and got the hell out of there. Vs Cotto/Clottey he was much happier to engage and trade..
I think some of the damage Margarito did to him and Shane being a power puncher will make Pac revert more to how he was vs Oscar.

I put £10 on Mosley to win by KO at 9/1. It returns £90.
When you look at their styles, no way should Pacquaio be a 6/1 favourite to win this fight. Mosley comes to brawl as does Pacquaio. If they trade shots regularly, it's likely that Mosley will land some leather which could hurt Pacquaio.
Of course I'm picking Pacquaio to win, but if your looking to make some good gains, there's worse bets to pick than a Mosley KO at 9/1. In reality the odds should be much closer.
**** thats some decent odds. I hope if Mosely does lands.. at least he'll cut him good.. then we'll have a competitive fight.
Whether you are rooting for/against Shane, the fact of the matter is Pac has been hit by all fighters he's faced, and guess what Pac has gotten hit frequently.
Does Shane have a chance to land that overhand right he landed in the Floyd fight? Yes! Is it very likely? Yes. It's all speculation of course, but you can't count Shane out completely. Given the right glove, he might actually hurt Pac and shock the world. I'd say Pac is safe after 6/7 rounds.
IMO, it's the season of upsets...I see Mosley headhunting and letting loose; Pac better not be there.
How is that fact?
Mosley landed numerous right hands on Cotto's chin and temple. Cotto went nowhere. Fact. Just because Floyd was stunned for a brief moment doesn't mean Mosley will knock out anyone with that same punch.
Exactly, and he didn;t even knock Mayweather down or out. So we really have to start to question Shanes power. If Cotto or Margaritos punches didn't faze Pac then Shanes wont either.
Unless he gets back on EPO that is.
Here's another x factor. What if Shane's been on the EPO or similar? Everyone suspects Pac of it and heck if I was fighting him, thought he had an unfair advantage and that I had the same opporunity to exploit weaknesses in the drug testing system as him then I'd sure as hell be doing it. When did Shane start gassing so early anyway? When he started doing OSDT??
I know it sounds a bit ridiculous but the opportunity is there.
Your right, if Shane got back on EPO, we can expect to see the same Shane that fought Margarito, now that would be a competitive GOOD FIGHT.
Not saying that Shane was on roids during the Margarito fight, but how the hell does he go from fighting Cotto and Mayorga slow and tired,to fighting like he is possessed in the Margarito fight??

shane on peds got beat many times....he can roid all he wants, sh1t's overrated anyways...
but he does have a shot at beating pac for sure...

we know that Shane has 3-4 rounds to do it.

Shane still has the potential to hit Manny with a shot he isn't going to see. Marg and Cotto have good power, but they didn't have the speed to catch Manny unprepared. Shane can still surprise with his speed and power. Mayweather normally sees everything coming, and is defensively minded, but even he struggled with Shanes speed and power for a couple of rounds. Pacquaio may struggle just the same, if not more so, because he hasn't faced a big welterweight with those attributes before.
There might be a few surprises in this fight.
I disagree, I think Shane will have very little success in landing anything meaningful on Manny. I think after the first couple of rounds it will become clear that this will be another one-sided beat down.............

I agree, but the only thing about that, is that we know that Shane has 3-4 rounds to do it. He doesn't have the 12 rounds like a Margarito or Cotto would have.
3-4 rounds Shane will start to wear down, and he'll start huffing and puffing, and taking big shots from Pacquiao wont do him any better, because even Mayweather was rocking him during the 8th round.
The thing about it is, Margarito is MUCH bigger than Shane, so thats the only reason as to why he was even able to last that long and throw those body punches, and technically Margarito is closer to his prime than Shane Mosley.
Shane has great hand speed, some people might say that his hands are faster than Manny's.
However another thing that you must factor is, Manny took so big shots from Miguel Cotto and Margarito, and neither brothered him much, do we really know that Shane's power is that much?
