Surely the stats will back this up.
This isnt a thread of who you think will win against haye and wlad, its a hypothetical question.
If wlad BEATS haye, lets say by late stoppage. Surely he will go on to break jack johnson defense record, have the highest ko ratio, and have beaten more world champs than any other boer in history.
Discuss.
I hope this is a joke. How many HOF's has Wlad beaten?
We'll find out in about twenty years.
In the meantime, any talk about HOF fighters is only so much hot air.
What're you lol'ing about? I love Louis but take a look at his resume.
I'm laughing at you saying Wlad's resume is on par with Joe Louis, a guy that almost any historian would consider atleast a top 5 HW.
They called it the "Bum Of The Month Club" for a reason. He fought very few good opponents during his title run.
That's actually not true.
He fought many good opponents during his career. Which consisted of over 20 Top 10 ranked fighters, plenty of those being in the Top 5.
Oh, and actual HOF'ers ontop of that too..
His claims to fame are beating a guy with 7 losses and 4 draws (Max Scmeling) and for getting lucky and knocking out a 175lb Billy Conn who had been beating the Heavyweight Champ around the ring.
Yeahhhh, Joe Louis' claim to fame are just those two wins... Nothing to do with his 12 year reign and 25 title defences which just how happens to be an all time record.
Lucky against Conn? How? Because he punched him in his face and knocked him out? I'm sorry isn't this boxing? How is that lucky?
The 2 best opponents he ever fought, Charles and Marciano, both handed him embarrassing losses.
So what are we deciding to forget Joe Louis was 36 and past his prime for Charles and certainly Marciano? I guess not.
I wonder what people would say about Wlad if he were dropped by a guy who looked like Tony Galento.
Ahhhh, the old 'Toney Galento' argument, this one has been beaten to death.
Galento hurt Louis and knocked him down.....Ok? So? Are we acting like fighters don't get hurt? Or even acting like Galento can't punch?
Galento hurt and knocked down Louis....Louis then went on to brutally stop him in a way that no one had one before that in his long career.
Still to this day I can't understand why this is used to discredit someone....
You saying Joe Louis and Wlad's resume and greatness is even remotely close is just laughable.
And you're in an incredibley small minority with these claims.
Negative. His oppostion has been very weak. When I look at what I believe is the greatest heavyweight of all time in my opinion is Muhammad Ali. The opposition he faced in his career was sick. Archie Moore (old), Floyd Patterson x2, Henry Cooper x2, Sonny Liston x2, George Chavalo x2, Karl Mildenberg, Cleveland Williams, Zora Foley, Ernie Terrell, Jerry Quarry, Oscar Bonavena, Joe Frazier x3, Jimmy Ellis, Buster Mathis, Bob Foster, Ken Norton x3, George Foreman, Ron Lyle, Jimmy Young, Earnie Shavers, Leo Spinks x2, Larry Holmes, and Trevor Berbick. Plus he was involved 4 times in fight of the year fights. If you question the people on this list do your research on the fighter at the time and how many became or were world champions. I'm not knocking Wladamir but with the help Emmanuel Steward he has become a better and complete fighter. I would not put him as the GOAT but Hall of Fame for sure.
1. Archie Moore...was 85 years old and a former middleweight
2. Floyd Patterson- Jeff Lacy would have beat Floyd Patterson and they were probably about the same size
3. Henry Cooper? is this a joke. I know the dude just died, but if you think he could even compete with a guy like Sosnowski youre a joke.
4. Sonny Liston fights were both rigged. First was a draw when Liston withdrew.
5.George Chuvalo...18 losses, Ali fought him after he had lost twice in the previous 4 months. Once to a total bum who weighed 190 lbs.
6. Karl Mildenberg? Is this a joke?
7. Cleveland Williams...coming off being literally shot, never won a meaningful fight.
8. Zora Folley...midlevel fighter, never beat anyone of any merit.
9 Ernie Terrell...lost 3 times the year Ali beat him...
10. Jerry Quarry? Again who'd he beat. What HW did he ever beat?
11. Oscar Bonavena? Again, this is a joke right?
12. Joe Frazier...Ali lost to the prime Frazier, admitted Frazier was past prime in the second and 3rd fights. His wins mean about as much as Bhop vs Jones 2.
13. Jimmy Ellis...get off of boxrec.
14, Buster Mathis...Buster Mathis made Chris Arreola look like he had Wlad's physique.
15. Bob Foster...weight 181 lbs. How many 181 pounders has Wlad fought?
16. Ken Norton- beat Ali all 3 times, thanks for bringing that up.
17. George Foreman- Ali's only really true good win. Still he resorted to mindgames, location advantages and refused a rematch.
18. Jimmy Young...robbed on the scorecards, rematch refused.
19. Earnie Shavers...lost to club fighters throughout his career, still pretyt much drew Ali, and Ali refused rematch.
20. Leon Spinks? Again I have to assume this is a joke. Audley Harrison has had a more decorative career.
21. Larry Holmes? He beat ali...Ali gets credit for fighting until he was retarded and losing embarassingly? Does JOe Louis get credit for his Marciano fight? I dont get it.
22. Trevor Berbick...ok, you are clearly a troll.
Want to know why none of Wlad's opponents will make the HOF...because Wlad wont let them. Wlad and Vitali beat and embarass their competition. Their careers arent filled with wars, which is 1. why they wont be retarded, shaking old men wheeled out at the olympics 30 years from now and 2. Why their opponents wont make the HOF. They destroy all opposition.
21.
Surely the stats will back this up.

What Jack Johnson defense record ?.

It obviously won't make him the greatest but there are two things to keep in mind:
1. Wlad's level of opposition has been as good or better than that of Larry Holmes and Joe Louis, two guys considered amongst the top heavyweights of all time who never beat a HOF opponent who was anywhere close to prime. Louis had a few good wins, but Holmes really had nothing impressive in his entire career. Klitschko's resume is definitely on par with both.
2. People will respect him a lot more when he is gone and they see the gaping void left at the top of the division. Sorta like Lennox Lewis was shat on throughout his career for being boring and methodical but was suddenly considered an all time great a few years after his retirement.

Obviously not. But there's nothing else for anyone to complain about resume wise if he beats Haye decisively. No more even minor threats left in the division for him.
NO!! What's the big deal with David Haye? He has a bad chin, he will get knocked out trying to be too brave. Once he realizes he can't get through to Wlad nite nite *****!
Negative. His oppostion has been very weak. When I look at what I believe is the greatest heavyweight of all time in my opinion is Muhammad Ali. The opposition he faced in his career was sick. OK smart ass, lets hear who on Wlad's resume you think will get into the HOF. I'm up for a laugh.
Chris Byrd has a really good shot at getting in. Not sure if he will though.
NO!!
Haye is a bum according to the Wlad fans, so there is no credability to be gained by beating a bum, it just shows the level of competition Wlad faces, BUMS
It's not that hard to predict that none of Wlad's opponents will have a HOF career, maybe Haye when he KO's both brothers.
Au contraire. It's quite probable that Byrd stands a good chance, being that he was a former world champion with wins over Holyfield, Vitali and Tua. Others have got in for less. But like I said, I can't predict the future.
Surely the stats will back this up.

You know the Heavyweight division is shit when you have idiots like this thinking beating a guy like David Haye makes you the greatest HW of all time
I can't predict the future. How about you?
