Personally my vote goes for José Luis Benavidez. Picked Up Boxing when he was 6. Youngest National Golden Gloves Champion. Turned Pro at 17.
At age 18 he’s won 10 (KO 9) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 10.
He is 6 feet tall, fighting at 140 Ibs. American born, to Hispanic parents makes him a appealing to the Mexican/American market. It really helps that the has the physical stature to fight at welter weight, and possible middle weight. Since that seem to be where the biggest market is at.
God willing, and if he stays hungry. Top Rank will fuel him into the next big star in boxing.
Benavidez, Randy Caballero looks promising too.
Randy's hands worry me but he has a mean streak and I like that
also out of the Coachella Valley is Gabino Saenz he is pretty damn good and may have more talent than Caballero
Remember the name "Jose Pedraza" ....
Gary Shaw signed this guy into being a proffesional, not some small promoting company, co-promoted with Lou dibella I believe.....
I hear Pedraza is pretty good and Shaw/DiBella are high on him
lol you do know Canelo was 19 right?
You also know that Canelo knocked Cotto the phuk out right?
lol that was a KO? holy shiat lol....... :tool::Thinkingo
James Frederick 'Chunky' DeGale MBE
10-0 (8)
2008 Olympic Games Middleweight Champion
Current British Super-Middleweight Champion
As Earl-Hickey called him - the first 'AFRO-BRITISH SLICKSTER' LOL
WAR CHUNKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sorry, I didnt know that stopping a guy that was standing and throwing punches meant knocking the phuck out, but I guess mexicans have so many featherfisted fighters right now that just dropping someone means murder for them now.
I f you want, I could just say Angulo eats him alive. But there are two puerto rican prospects right now who would crush Canelo in a round, and both are 21 year olds so its not like they are more experienced or have more build than Canelo.
lol Cotto was Canelo's punching bag for the last 4 rounds of that fight.

After seeing Alvarez get bet down by a puerto rican who had power at lightweight and lost to Malignaggi, I doubt he will be the one koing a prospect who has power at welterweight.

ive never seen canelo get a beat down.
That was a vicious ko he will probably start his career off red hot and than it will build up to another historic Mexico vs. Puerto Rican Boxing classic where Saul Canelo Alvarez ko's him.
