LATEST UPDATE:
AMIR KHAN'S world light-welterweight title unification clash against WBC and WBO champion Tim Bradley is on the brink of collapse.
Their 12-rounder is due to be staged in Los Angeles or Las Vegas on July 23, but the cash-hungry American is unhappy with his £825,000 purse.
Bradley was last night given a 48-hour deadline, but WBA champion Khan is planning an American jaunt this week to line-up a new opponent.
Richard Schaefer, CEO of Khan's promoters Golden Boy, told Sport of the World that Mexican great Erik Morales, lightweight sensation Robert Guerrero and IBF champ Zab Judah are under consideration.
Bolton's Khan has agreed terms and although Bradley's promoter Gary Shaw is happy with the deal, the fighter and his management are stalling.
Schaefer added: "Gary has until early next week to secure Bradley, but it looks like he is having second thoughts.
"The good news is that there are many A-list fighters willing to face Amir in July as they consider him the top fighter in the 140lb division.
"Whatever happens with Bradley, Amir will be fighting in the United States on July 23 and we should be able to name an opponent in the next seven days."
The three venues on hold for Khan are the Mandalay Bay Events Centre in Las Vegas, Los Angeles Sports Arena and Anaheim's Honda Centre on the outskirts of LA.
Khan, 24, is planning to start training at Freddie Roach's Wild Card gym in late May to prepare for his fifth defence of the title he took from Andreas Kotelnik in July 2009.
Also, if Bradley does not agree to fight Khan on July 23rd, he does NOT fight on HBO this Summer. All dates are 100% taken. Looks like we'll end up seeing Bradley out the ring for a while, or see him back on Showtime.

Please stfu clowns.
So just cause a fighter doesn't like the money he getting paid it a duck?
Yeah like Khan is so scary. Punch, punch run, punch punch run.
Do you honestly think that just because someone isn't a murderous puncher that they wouldn't be ducked?
It's all about Bradley's future
He knows Khan has the tools to beat him, which in turn ****s up Bradley's plans of facing Pac or Floyd, not to mention losing that 0 and the BIG $ down the road.
Do i think Bradley is ducking? No
Like other posters have stated, a lot of this is to do with his promotional situation with Shaw
Please stfu clowns.

No opponent will be announced in 7 days if that opponent is not Bradley.
1.3 mill?? no?
That's around what he got for the Devon Alexander fight. He deserves a raise for this next bout, especially if Khan wants the 2 belts he is holding.
you can book it. con already fought barrera, why not morales?
He will beat khan ,,,, typical pommy article , I like the way it said Khan agrees to terms , of course he would its Bradley getting stitched on the money , how much is Khan getting , nobody is saying .
People are misunderstanding the situation with Shaw. He is not the main problem. This is Bradleys last fight under his contract with Shaw- him agreeing to this fight does NOT mean hes signing on with Shaw for the future.
The MAIN problem is that what HBO have created. Bradley is not happy at not making that much more for a Khan fight (higher risk-tougher) in comparison to his last Alexander fight. On top of that, as everybody knows, Bradley is already gauranteed a 1mill minimum anyway for a return fight on HBO- giving him an opportunity to fight somebody else and make similar money with potentially lesser risk. The fact is that Bradley will be getting paid a similar amount to Alexander who's coming of a loss and fighting a lesser opponent.
The Alexander fight was supposed to be his last fight with Shaw I believe, but in order to make that fight happen he had to sign a one fight extension. Bradley himself hasn't said anything yet, but I won't be surprised if when he does take he tells us Shaw was trying the same thing.
It is Shaw. The fight with Alexander almost didn't happen because of Shaw, so this time we will miss out.

I think he's going to sign last minute. If it's true he can't get a HBO fight in the summer what else is he going to do? Gary shaw just trying to desperately get more $$$, it's not going to work so hopefully the fat idiot realizes this and they sign.
that's what I think anyway.
yeah i think badley might have to bite the bullet on this one
It must be frustrating for him to fight a very good level of comp and not be making as much money as he thinks he should
idk whats going on with bradley.Maybe he just having problems with shaw.

Because it does nothing for him apart from money. Back then Khan was still at 135 and coming of a KO looking vulnerable before he fought Barrera, It was def justified back then concidering the stage of Khans development but now Noooooooo WAY
you can book it. con already fought barrera, why not morales?
well,I dont mind that fight at all.But i would prefer a khan-judah fight.
I would like to see morales get that fourth title tho.
The thing is if Bradley-Khan doesn't happen on July 23rd then it won't even happen this year.
There's no way Bradley steps into a big fight with over half a year of inactivity (assuming he waits instead of going on Showtime)
I would only be happy with Judah as a replacement since its a unification....... BUT hes a damn dangerous southpaw who can KO Khan at any point. Logic tells you that Khan would drown Judah and overwhelm him with his activity but its very risky fight.
