I know he has a great defence, but you don't go through all his years of boxing without eating leather thourgh out your career.
In 90 amatuer fights he never touched the canvas once. And in 41 Pro fights he has never been put down by a PUINCH. The only reason he ever did touch down was becasue of pain in his hand.
I find that impressive. I know some may say this is due to his defence which is mostly true, but he has taken some punchers thought out his career.
great D often requires less chin. once D skillz gone, GREAT chin ability is revealed.
look at RJJ. once D from athleticism gone, chin is exposed to be weak. floyd'D is better and has not gotten to that point yet.
I reviewed the fight myself and concluded it was a KD. It's several years since I watched the fight and I had since been deceived by a minimized .gif of that overhead angle. I don't have to acknowledge that, I just did it because I'm rational and not a retard. Unlike you, who trolls threads by pursuing completely irrelevant issues purely because he hates Mayweather.
All my other points re. officials' discretion and your trolling irrelevancy in this thread are legit.

Bottom line: Floyd touched the canvas after being hit by a punch. By defintion it's a KD.

He certainly doesn't have a glass chin, but he simply hasn't been hit enough to be able to ascertain for certain whether he has a great one. He's obviously been rocked several times in the past (Mosley and Corley spring to mind) so he's not immune to damage, but I never get the feeling that his fights can ever end on one punch. So given the choices I'd lean towards him having a good (not great) chin.
The fact Mayweather is such a great defensive fight, means that when he does get hit clean by punches, they are the kind he doesn't see coming, which are also the kind that do the most damage.
Mayweather has handled these shots well his entire career, he has a solid chin.
But this threads has been invaded by nuthuggers anyways so i doubt this is still an educated discussion.
that mayweather video is trying too hard, alot of those shots did not land cleanly
good chin, nothing spectacular or excellent as one particular retard would say
Exactly what I was thinking. As far as real POWER shots, I think really only Chop-Chop and Shane have landed clean enough shots to judge.
A case can be made for Burton/Augustus I guess. I don't think Judah's shot hurt Floyd.
he's never been down in a lengthy ass career at the top
he's at least got a good chin. matchmaking and boxing ability have kept it from being tested enought to call it great or weak.
he's only fought one real WW with punching power (oscar was a huge puncher, but he really lost steam by the end of his career and was essentially a flurry fighter) named shane mosley
and he almost dropped him twice, but never took him off his feet.
That Oscar he fought had all the advantages he requested: Small ring size, heavier gloves, height and reach advantage, heavier weight, not weight drained, Freddie Roach in his corner, had successful wins under Floyd Sr.'s tutelage, AND had the WBC title belt.
All of that, he got out punched, and he STILL lost.

^ did you really go through the effort of making and uploading a youtube video just to say "BattlingNelson is Cheesy"?
sht he must be doin somethin right
Dude is obsessed. A sad, ignorant, lonely and angry little kid.
Besides which, the Floyd-Judah incident is irrelevant to the topic; it was a balance knockdown and doesn't speak much at all to the question of Floyd's punch-resistance. You trolled. Your boring argument simply doesn't belong in this thread.
I stated that Floyd had a very good chin. The Judah reference was only made to educate ignorant nuthuggers like yourself who previously in this thread claimed that it was not a legit KD. But as always you are beyond reach.
Do you know how long it took to make and upload that?
Less time than it would take you to get up, go take a leak and come back. Seriously.
You must be an incapable, awed retard if you think it required any more effort than a regular post. :lol1:
opening up paint or w/e the hell you used, typing that crap, saving it, and uploading, then having to wait till the video renders, yea, posting this takes just as long
i dont know if you ever heard of it, but there's this thing called life, you should cop one

Thats right, but if what I said is the case, then he might not have fell off balance if Judah hadn't stood on his foot when the punch landed, so by definition the referee would have been right to not call it a KD because it would have been unfair to call it a KD.
But would he had done it if Judah hadn't stood on his foot? This is the reason why standing on somebodys foot is illigal in Boxing, in this case it was an accident, but it wouldn't have been classed as a KD because the standing on his foot caused him to go off balance more.
If somebody stands on your foot and pushes you and you fell over, just because you fell over doesn't mean you would have done if he hadn't stood on your foot.
He is right in what he is saying though, whether you like it or not.
If the official feels something other than a punch was the cause of a fighter touching down, he has a license to use his discretion/common sense and not call a knockdown.
There are angles which clearly show that Judah standing on Floyd's foot caused him to lose balance and touch down momentarily. BattlingNelson has seen these; it's just that they don't help his agenda, so you'd never see him post them.
Definition of a KD:
A knockdown occurs when a boxer, after being hit by his opponent: 1) touches the ring floor with some part of his body other than the feet; 2) has any part of his body outside the ropes; 3) is hanging on the ropes helplessly; or 4) is judged to be in a semi-conscious state and unable to continue fighting.
So the question is whether Floyd was hit or not before he touched the canvas.
shane punches harder than all of them at 147
Like I said it would be tested more if he fought more Welterweights, but with your statement, its clear why he strayed away from most of them..
It would be tested more if he wasnt fighting lower weight fighters the past few years..
But lets look at his last 4 fights.
Shane ROCKED that Chin, makes you wonder what Cotto, Marg, Clottey, and Pac would of done if Floyd fought more Welterweights..
Hatton landed some shots, had Floyd in trouble early but Floyd maintained his balance...
Marquez, didnt have a chance against Floyd PERIOD..
Delahoya landed some good shots but not flush ones..
