We all know that PPV buys and how much money you make for fights is what makes your great, so Oscar is hands down the Greatest ever. Highest paid boxer ever and has the record for fighter with the highest amount of ppv buys during his fights. De La Hoya is the G.O.A.T
Regardless of the Mayweather-Ortiz PPV that people seem to obsess about, Mayweather will never outdo De La Hoya in money and PPV sales. I guess that means all the Floyd fags like Gino Ross and Yesir should jump on DLH nuts now since they all seem to like to talk about how much money Floyd makes all the time. DLH made way more than Floyd and anyone else..therefore G.O.A.T
Had to bump this thread to remind all you *****ing back and forth about Mayweather and Paquiao PPV numbers, that neither of them matter because De La Hoya > everyone else.
I don't have problem with Hoya being the greatest PPV attraction so far but being the greatest fighter? These are two different things to majority of boxing fans.
I say Hoya is the most anticipated USA professional fighter after Leonard. How much did he earn in his first professional fight? I think it is more than triple than most caliber fighters are being paid right now.
Since the bigining He went out fighting the best fighters possible check his record When he lost to Trinidad (which was a robbery) and lost to mosley (steroids) it wasn't really a big deal why because he went out fighting another great fighter he wouldn't let those big losses Effect him as much he would just fight another great fighter
I don't care too much about him not winning the Tito fight because of the way he blatantly ran for the last 3 or 4 rounds. He lost to Mosley twice, but I thought he beat Mosley the second time. I also did think that Pernell Whitaker beat him in a close fight. He has a hell of a fight record though, regardless of win or lose. Besides Pacquaio no one ever dominated him in one of his loses, not even Hopkins before the knockout. He was a hell of a fighter but definitely not the greatest, but I see where the TS was going with this one.

It's all about the PPV numbers and money though man. Oscar is the biggest cash cow ever, therefore best fighter ever. He is his own boss and calls his own shots.
I can't disagree with you. lol
This thread would have worked better if there was somebody out there who actually believed Oscar was the GOAT.
I'm sure there are some hardcore DLH fans who would think so. I dont think any hardcore fan base is as ridiculous as the mayweather fan boys and the pacquiao fan boys, but im sure there has to be some out there who would think that.
BTW, I was being facetious. In terms of skill, no way is Oscar THE Goat. lol

Every post this guy makes is about Floyd no matter what the thread is about. Scary.
You're posting in my thread so does that mean you finally maned up and took me off your long ignore list since I disagreed with you on something? Cause I tried to post in your thread earlier but couldn't cause it said I'm on your ignore list like half of Boxingscene
6 division champ Oscar lost to a prime Mosely on steroids and was insanely robbed vs Tito "La Momia" Trinidad. Other than that he only lost to BHop when ODLH had moved into his 6th division. Definitely a top 20 ATG.
Oscar was past-prime when he lost to Mayweather.

Yes! I'm glad to know I'm not alone in wondering how Floyd was even mentioned. Wasn't this thread supposed to be about the multi-talented, grammy award winning Oscar De La Hoya? lol
If one listens to Floyd stans,
Oscar is the GOAT.
"Boxing is a business" is what they've gone on about for the last 6 years.
So, by that standard,
TS is right.

things that don't matter:
virtually losing all your big fights.
things that matter:
not looking like valuev.
true success story.

Point well taken. The G.O.A.T. will be laughing all the way to the bank! lol

Taking on top challenges and losing> taking on easy ones and winning. But that doesn't even matter though, it's ALL about the PPV sales and money you make. I mean come on, if you make money than you get to call all the shots and be your own boss. Who cares if your division is the best in boxing at the time, you can retire and not fight any of those top guys because you make so much money and sell PPV's. Once you do those you can do anything you want, including not fight and still be the greatest.
