I see a lot of controversy on the topic of Pac-Mosley, May-Mosley.. Mosley is one of the most solid opponents at welter period. Never been Ko'd, fast and power.. Who else at welter besides the two p4p kings, better to have on your professional resume? Discuss please..

I have no doubt you're right, but Andre Berto had all that and he still got pummeled by Ortiz.
The thing going for Mosley is that he's actually got a much power than Andre Berto and hasn't been in serious trouble in years. I can't recall a moment where Mosley was tagged and genuinely looked on the defensive. Maybe there was one moment where he was being backed up by Mayweather and looked like he was going to fall into the ropes but other than that, he hasn't looked in seriously bad condition in a fight in ages.
The REASON people are banking on Pacquiao is because, despite what Shane's got going for him, he's getting up there in age and he's shown to really get tired during the latter half of a 12 rounder.
I don't think it's out of the question to say Pacquiao could stop Mosley for the first time. Had Pacquiao been in there with Mosley on May 1st last year, Pacquiao could've gone in there for the kill around the 10th or 11th.
Mosley's right now just a big name in the welterweight division. If you beat him, that's something that looks pretty in your resume but other than that, it doesn't say much. If Mosley were given more of a chance, Pacquiao beating Mosley would mean something, but since he isn't being given much of a chance, a victory over Shane is not AS significant as it otherwise would be.
Pacquiao fighting Mosley fresh off of Margarito would've been much, MUCH better. Right now...nah.
You can't deny that Mosley getting stopped will look unique, though.
Listen to that...Shane Mosley gets battered en route to a 10th round TKO. Ouch.
Bye, Shane.
I hope Shane shuts me up, though. Let him land one of those atomic bombs of a right hand and send Pacquiao into la-la land.
As far as the Winky's best win is Tito thing, that's yet to be said.. It was terrible match making stylistically for both of them.Who knew both of their kryptonite where straight punches down the pipe?? As terms of opposition I would say Mosley was more durable and had more tools to defeat Wink..despite the weight discrepancy I think Mosley is the better win
Anybody can get a great win over mediocre competition.
Jrosales, the name Castillo and Coralles will be forgotten in his resume in 20+ years. Floyd's best win that will stick forever will always be Oscar and Mosley.
Really? Coralles and Castillo have a classic fight for the ages
Not necessary. I mean nobody really brings up Henry Armsrtong as one of SRR great wins. Because, we know how faded Armstrong was at that point. And, this is decades ago. And, it's not a terrible win because Armstrong was the #1 contender. But, was shot and had no shot of winning. Matter of fact the only reason why SRR fought him was because Armstrong needed the money.
That's like saying Camacho best wins are against SRL and Duran cuz' decades from now when they look at his resume they're going to look at those 2 names as a standout. NO chups, nobody is going to do that.
I will give you this, the noobs, the ones who barely started watching boxing might do that. But, by the historians, the ones who follow the sport, the ones who actually take time to do their homework, do some research. Those type of fans will know the difference.
Because, more importantly than who is when.
You mean, you don't count Terry Norris' win over Leonard as being the key reason he was inducted into the HOF a few years ago?
You don't count Robinson's destruction of Graziano as one of his best wins?
Rocky Marciano knocking Joe Louis threw the ropes?
Danny Williams amazing victory over Mike Tyson?
Or Tito's best win being Pernell Whitker?
:nonono:
LOL, sure you do.
Solo me gusta joder con pendejos comemierdas como tu que se creen que saben mas que nadie. Estas tan lleno de mierda que te la crees tu mismo me haces reir ,pile mierda.
No se mucho, pero se mas que ti. And, that's why you're butthurt. It's OK, I will give you attention when you ask for it.
And, please end your life when Marg beats Cotto again for the 2nd time.
I know what you are saying J, but sadly Chavez Sr. will be brought up as a legit win in Kostya's resume in a few decades....(and not Zab Judah's). When you go look at Henry Armstrong and Joe Louis's resume what do you look at? What is mention by recent historians? Not the Champs, it's the HOF....and it doesn't matter if they were weightdrained, had headaches, had a bad camp or aging.

I agree, 147 was overrated and Pac exposed it, and showed teh lower divisions are more competitive.
Yep, and look...it so happens Berto's defeat came to a Jr WW. If Ortiz starts calling out 140 pounders, you won't hear squat from me

Just because they're not in the HOF doesn't mean that they're mediocre.
Nobody really says Kostya win over Chavez is his best win. Matter of fact that win rarely gets brought up.
Because, more importantly than who is when.
It is the best win on Forrest, Winky, and Cotto career.
But, it's not Floyd best win. I rank floyd wins over Corrales, Castillo, and Chicanito>>>Mosley.
I'm sure the HOF committe will use this post to make their decision.
You should not include Corrales as being one of Mayweather's best wins. Can it be, after all the truth of that fight came out, and all that I have written on these pages about them, that you still don't know the TRUE facts of that crooked swindle of a so called fight?
If Mayweather and his "Brains Trust" ever had ANY smidgin of conscience, they should cringe every time they hear Corrales' name.
What happened? Cause idk?
School me on that fight. Wasn't Tito "past prime" or was he seen as a big threat for Winky at that time?
Tito wasn't in his prime. But, it was a legit fight going into it. It was 50/50 on who as going to win the fight or maybe Tito was the favorite.
Tito was just coming off the destruction of Mayorga. And, TBH I think cracked Mayorga chin where it wasn't the same anymore. That's why I never got the love Oscar gets for beating once again another Tito leftover but that's another story.
Shane also was at the tail end of his prime and never was any good at 154.

STFU and leave the thread.
