it sounded like it. i just got in and i didnt feel like scanning all the all the pages. i apologize to you sir.:boxing:
The only problem I have is the title being up for grabs at catchweights.
Theres no way I believe Berto (or Cotto) were "weight drained" or it had any affect on the outcome. Ortiz was just the better man.
No... where did I ever suggest that?

i posted this already, in berto's last nine fights he only came in at 147 twice. the rest of the times he came in at 145 and 146. do you think that if berto was able to weigh in at the full limit of 147 he would have won?:boxing:

Blobby will keep arguing until you post the actual contracts.
Even then he'll want to see both fighters signing them or something.

No i won't i want to see a reputable source say that it was in the signed contract, the only reputable source so far says there was no catchweight.
And here's Ortiz himself saying the fight is at a catchweight.
“I was really hoping we were coming in at 147, period,” said Ortiz, “but the teams arrange to come in at 146 because I have never fought at 147. I told my coaches I was perfectly OK with coming in at 147 but in the end, they agreed to differ with me. They are the coaches; they are bosses in the gym. So whatever say. I’m just here to fight. I don’t really know why there is a catchweight. I told them I am down to fight at 154 but that is not the case. So there will be a catchweight. 146 is the max. Add a pound to that and it’s 147. I don’t really see the difference.”
I guess he shouldn't be believed either.

That was before the contracts were signed. Try again.
So even though Ortiz's manager announced that the fight would be at 145+1, after repeated negotiations about what the catchweight should be, you don't think that was in the contract? When did they announce it wasn't at a catchweight after all? Where did you see in the contract that it was at 147? You won't believe it till you read it in the contract? Wow
Prove it was in the signed contract, you can't so STFU.

Here's another writer making a prediction about the fight saying it will be at a 146 catchweight. Was that before the contract was signed too?

Not a reputable source, while Steve kim is and he said no catchweight. :loser:

Like i said loads of fighters in the past have agreed to terms and then make changes before the contracts have been signed. There's no evidence that the catchweight was in the contract.

So Ortiz's manager Roland Arellano was lying when he said the fight would be at 145+1? Or is that he didn't know what would be in the contract either?

Just because they mention it in negotiations doesn't mean it was in the contract that was signed.

So then PAC remains as the catchweight king? :D
Well if that's true I'm glad. I hate catchweights not matter what fighter is doing them.
i hate them too. i think its more of a mental im gonna **** with u kinda thing than actually draining the other fighter
Here's another article citing Ortiz's manager.

Am I the only one remembering people talking about this before the fight?
