HBO said Ortiz-Berto drew 1.5M viewers for live Saturday airing, making it the most watched HBO fight since Cotto-Foreman (1.6M) in June '10
A fight like that deserved those ratings.
yah, its great tbh
Yeah real solid numbers considering the subscriber base, I think the 1.5M for this fight is also real strong and I hope HBO isn't Bull$hitting, I think the Maidana vs. Morales carried some of that momentum into this weekend. The FNF's ratings have been pretty weak for the past month but this week they were 601k live and that's real good considering I think last year there was only 1 FNF's that did numbers over 600k.
You get them from somewhere? It's looking promising that boxing truth will get them soon. There's been a delay but things might have got cleared up today.
nah i'm just guessing.
lol ... i shoulda just stayed on this thread, i found it as well bradley alexander did 1.345 million live viewers. which to be honest is pretty impressive considering no one knows who they are and that it didnt trend on google or twitter nite of etc ...
I was at the doctors today and cracked open this months SI and noticed HBO took a whole page ad out for this fight. Never read SI so I'm not sure it's normal but I would have to think no.There was full page ad in SI for Bradley-Alexander too.
martinez and gamboa ratings bombed.

1.45m.....
For the amount of promotion they put behind it, its not that great.
That's pretty good numbers considering no one really knew them beforehand.
anyone know the bradley v alexander ratings? i recall them not being great

People must have been calling their friends during rd 6, telling them "turn on HBO!!!"
Hopefully not. If they tuned in after rd 6 they missed the best 6 rounds of the year and saw a ton of holding.
Now that I think about it, I could of sworn Bradley/Alexander did 1.5 though. Maybe it was 1.4. Anyone have the yearly numbers so far? It seems like most of the WCB has easily cleared the 1 million mark.
Montiel Donaire I think did a 1.1 and Alvarez Hatton did a 1.5 as well.

The 1.5m for this fight is without all the VOD etc. So maybe that has an effect.
edit: the more hyped/promoted snoozefest did 1.45m
