Why doesn't he fight the cats from the super six..ward froch you know..
I think it would be badass if he fought all them and beat them!
What you guys think?
Martinez walks around at 180, and he doesn't look fat compared to R. Hatton's offseason weight.
It's been over two years since he weighed in at 154.
If he fights at SuperMiddle, he can still weigh in at 160 if that's what he chooses.
Could he still perform at his best?

pac fought at jmw physically as a ww......he was never a jmw ..so basically he he has never fought at that weight also, altho on paper he has....
if sergio is a blown up mw, then pac is a blown up jr lw just like jmm...its more commendable for pac to fight at jmw than for sergio to fight at smw...
He has never fought at that weight? He fought for a 154 pound belt in November. I don't care if he came in below the LIMIT he fought for the belt. Martinez said he'll fight Pac with a LIMIT of 154 pounds. If Pac didn't want the former 154 pound champ to call him out he should've never fought for his old belt at that weight class.
Martinez never went up to 168 and fought for a belt.
^^ Big difference though is Pac won Martinez' old belt at the 154 pound weight class...And Martinez said he'll fight Pac at 154.
Martinez has never fought at 168 and let's face it, he's basically a blown up Jr. Middleweight...

Ricky Hatton walked around 160-170, didn't mean he would be competitive at middleweight or super.
the guy is currently in his 3rd weight class. His body is conditioned for the lower weight classes regardless of his size. Fighters in the Super 6 may be fighting at LHW in the future. He would have to fight these guys at a catch weight.
Sergio just recently moved up from 154 to 160. I don't see him fighting any SMW unless they drop down to 160 or some sort of catchweight is made.
Many think that Sergio is simply too small for the 168 pounders. If you think about it, Sergio can still make 154, whereas I don't think that any of the Super Sixers can make 160. That gives you an idea of the size disadvantage that Sergio will be facing if he were to move up to 168.

Sergio is really small at 160, much less 168. I see people making comments about Sergio fighting smaller guys but he is always the smaller fighter...check the stats. Dude is always giving up the height and reach to his opponents but his skill often makes up for the difference though.
Martinez isn't a Super Middleweight. Some have said that his day of the fight weigh-ins are about the same as some of the SMW guys. The problem with this is that Martinez is able to eat more now because he drains himself less. Whereas, the 168 pounders still have to shrink down. So, when they rehydrate, it'd be dangerous for them to put on so much weight.
Regardless, I'd rather see those guys settles scores and have Martinez fight the best fighters at Middleweight.
Martinez Vs. Winner of Chavez/Zbik.
Martinez Vs. Felix Sturm.
Martinez Vs. Alfredo Angulo.
Martinez Vs. Marco Antonio Rubio.
Decent enough fights. The best at or around his weight. A few Welterweights could also potentially make the move. Why not? It's done wonders for the sport in the past.

Cause Martinez wants to fight smaller fighters not bigger fighters
idk, he just got to middleweight not too long ago and is still keeping his eyes open for fights at 154. going up to SMW would be dope, but i don't think he is interested in it, let alone is capable of making the weight while performing good and keeping his speed. who knows, if he doesn't get any good fights at 154 or 160, then why not? but i don't think it'll happen. there's plenty of guys to fight at 154 and 160 for him. plus, it's not like sergio is going to fight for a long time, he has less than two years left tops imo.
