no point in this fight gamboa wins again. lopez vs salido 2 makes more sense and more money for salido. gamboa vs john should happen and the winner gets lopez vs salido 2 winner.

Juanma didn't get caught coming in though. He got caught once he was brawling, not on the way in. Basically Salido hit him with 1 punch. Looping overhand right. I'm just doubtful Gamboa would not be able to see that and just keep his left up. no sir! Salido was hitting him with that right all night. It was a matter of time that crushing one landed. Gamboa will dog him again though.

There is absolutely no point in this fight. Same outcome as in first fight.

Salido looked good against Juanma, although a little reckless but he still got the job done. I understand that Gamboa has the fastest hands in boxing but he also gets caught coming in. Let's wait and see after the Salido/Juanma rematch. If Juanma wins his title back then Gamboa/Juanma would come around.

He already beat Salido convincingly. Gamboa needs to fight John or move up in weight. He needs a real challenge. Why have this great talent just knocking out randoms when he could be proving his greatness? It's time. He might have to go as far as Lightweight, or maybe a catchweight. But he needs to fight in a hotter division. Lightweight is hot.

I understand why this would be possible, but I don't see much point. Gamboa won in very convincing fashion (I had it 115-109 and that was with 2 points deducted), outboxed Salido and dropped him a couple of times. A closer first fight would have been a worth-while rematch and a good fight for Gamboa, this one? Meh.
