Anyone else looking forward to what Arum has to say?

Seriously though, lets say next fight is Gamboa vs JuanMa. You got the typical, "Going through a divorce, lost focus, a former champ looking deep within himself, long dark halways, going to hell and back" rhetoric that makes us boxing fans forget the reality of a situation before we plop down $59.95. Wouldn't you still buy the fight? (If you were going to buy it in the first place, and not just stream it or download it anyway) I guess my question is, how many people won't buy the fight now, that would have bought it early. Gamboa is still flawed, can still be flashed, lopez still has crazy power, the fight is still intriguing, but now its not two undefeated fighters... This is what will happen. Bob announces that its unfortunate, says he's going to file a formal complaint against the referee for that ridiculous stoppage when his fighter was not only fighting back, but winning the exchange, and the round, and had salido on the edge of being knocked TF out, probably accuse it of being rigged. makes a few other excuses. Probably won't arrange a rematch with Salido, because there is no reason for it, that fight should be ruled a no contest for that poor stoppage etc etc. Instead we'll move forward with Gamboa, and then maybe take back our title from Salido. Damage control = done

honestly, that's what arum gets for trying to milk the juanma/gamboa fight. this was bad matchmaking by TR which is otherwise great at it. Especially after gamboa destroyed velasquez... juanma obviously tried to outdo gamboa, but juanma should've known that salido is a hard puncher and has never been KOed. Uncle Bob got moded. He thought he could have milked a few more fights out of these guys and hype this sh*t up more. Oh well.....:D :D

Arum did screw himself, but I hope he let's this fight happen to see who deserves the big $$$$ fight. i hope they do patch things up, they have too or else bam bam rios wont have many fights if he is to become super star. imo, anyways.

Nope, I hope this fight leaves him speechless for a good minute. He did this to himself. Rather than give the fans what they want, he tried to milk it and Salido derailed his plans.

And to keep it real, Arum was tricking you guys all along. I seriously saw him letting Lopez campaigning at 130 and fighting those guys, while Gamboa fights at 126 and puts in work there. Lopez wins = still not seeing Gamboa vs Lopez anything soon.

TBH I doubt it's a big of a deal as most make it out to be. Same sh1t happened with Morales losing to Raheem, and Barrera losing to Jones. That still didn't stop his plans, and it's not like Gamboa vs Lopez was a big money fight...ala Cotto vs Margarito II or something along those lines.

If there's one thing to learn about promoting and promoters in general, it's: You don't risk your money makers to top fighters until they're old and shot to pieces. Smart man, that Arum.
