As we all know the current HW is filled with boxers who have a love for burgers/ taco's etc etc.
Who is the fastest, and most technically proficient fat/out of shape HW fighter out there? Someone who has speed and skill while being out of shape?
Please include fighters from all eras.
But leave out James Toney, as he is an obvious answer.
kirk johnson
eddie chambers
sultan ibragimov
tony tubbs
chris arreola
david tua
some of these guys arent pure fatties
but they could all use to lose at least 10 lbs in at least a few of their recorded fights
Mathis was the first name I thought of. He was a big fat guy with fast hands and no power.
Yes, and unlike the other fighters mentioned by the other posters, Buster Mathis was ALWAYS naturally fat, from childhood upwards. Different from a guy who trains down and comes in thin, but eats too much between fights and becomes too lazy to take it off, like James Toney.
Not only very fast hands, but a very fast mover on his feet. Fast all round. He can probably be seen on Youtube.
I don't think that any of the fighters named until now are in the genuinely "FAT" class, except Butterbean. He's very fast for his monstrous size.
But the REAL fastest genuinely fat fighter HAS to be BUSTER MATHIS, who beat Joe Frazier in the amateurs, mainly through speed, and did very well as a pro.
There was another guy, who ALWAYS beat Jack Dempsey,-I think 3-4 times- in 4 rounders, who was supposed to be very fast, I can recall seeing a picture of him long ago and he looked fat. He was called FAT WILLIE MEEHAN.
So there is a very eclectic choice for the Topic Starter right there. I think the answer would be BUSTER MATHIS. He was noted for his speed.

IDK, he still looks kind of soft even at 205 to me like of he really tried he could be a lean 188 or somewhere around that area.
I don't think he can ever be 188...He may not be ripped from head to toe, but he just has a naturally big build. I think his body is kinda like Juan Diaz'. No matter what he does I think he's gonna look a little soft, but that doesn't mean he's fat or out of shape.

^^He's not anywhere near fat.
When Eddie Chambers was weighing 226 pounds he was a chubby heavyweight...But the current 205 pound Eddie Chambers shouldn't be considered a fat heavyweight anymore. 6'1" 205 pounds isn't anywhere near fat.
Solis
Corrie Sanders
Kirk Johnson
Corrie Sanders was such a raw natural talent. Why he chose golf over boxing will always baffle me... He threw such straight powerful stiff punches. A great wasted talent.

That guy is pretty big. I gotta watch some of his fights!!
this is terribly retarded
most Klitschko nuthuggers hate Ali though, obviously because they know their idols are nowhere near Ali in terms of greatness
What does Klitschko have to do with Ali? Just brought it up to instigate? Another bait post?
