...and to think Mosley is bigger than Pac.

JENNA: If you do win this bout and Manny Pacquiao does not want to do a rematch, a fight that everybody would want to see in boxing would be a fight between you and Sergio Martinez. Do you think that you will be able to go up to middleweight and fight him if you are to win this bout?
MOSLEY: No, I wouldn’t go up to middleweight to face Sergio Martinez because he’s too big. 154 pounds I can get away with where I’m not as strong or whatever, but my body frame is not big enough for that. If Manny Pacquiao doesn’t want to fight maybe I can get a rematch with Mayweather.
how many of those were middleweights?
how long has sergio been a middleweight? wasn't sergio fighting at 154 when shane had all his fights at 154 except his recent fight with mora who is a middleweight
Translation: he is too good.
get the f*ck outta here. :lol1:
let me guess- shane only likes fighting old, shot, come forward fighters like mayweather and pacquiao but sergio is too good? Here's an idea- before hitting the submit button, read what you type out loud then ask yourself 'does this make any f*cking sense?'. If the answer is no, delete the whole thing and start over.
Did you clowns ever consider that when boxers like manny, shane, and sergio himself say that martinez is too big for welters... They might be on to something? Just a thought.
you must've forgot how Winky had his way with him at '54...TWICE!!!
Oh yea, I know. I remember both of those fights. I was just questioning Shane's comments about his power at 154, seeing as how he's knocked guys at that division.
Shane knocked out Vargas twice and Mayorga at 154. He was able to carry that power up there, what is he talking about?

That fight against Margarito was semi-legit. We are just de-sensitized by the all the events and the "usual" winnings of Pacquiao but to actually fight and make that happen is intself an accomplishment.
THere's always a cutoff point...Mayweather and Pacquiao came from 106 and now to 147. 154 with Marg was an experiment but still a dangerous experiment.
Pacquiao chose to stay around 147ish to keep his speed but could have lost too in the 6th or the 5th round...but again, even for Mosley or Mayweather going up (And both are a lot taller and more physically more able to than Pac) is still very hard to do.
Thus the only way is for a catchweight. But I don't think that would happen.
For me there's nothing wrong with catchweight fights...they're a mutual agreement between two fighters and fair. It isn't just Pacquiao gaining weight as a disadvantaged but the heavier fighter losing weight as well (meeting in the middle)...
In that light, Martinez going down to 154 might be too much for him whereas his actual fighting weight is way over 160. That meant Pacquiao fighting him would be about 20 to 30 lbs difference?
That's ridiculous....
LOL. As if Mosley didn't spend a nice amount of time at 154. Give me a break, Shane.
Translation: he is too good.
Mosley never ducks anyone. He probably damaged his career for taking rematches against guys who clearly beat him the 1st time. If Sergio could make 147 Mosley may entertain the idea. $ talks
martinez never asked anyone to come to 160
Sergi Drizrinzurik
And now hes asking Ishida.
He's ducked his last 2 mandatories in a row and more than likely will duck a third.
If there's no competition left in his class shouldn't he be looking at guys in higher weight class???
he can if he likes to but it's not a requirement...it's his choice. but ideally in boxing, fighters should be looking up, not down.
Yes, I know Natas. The last thing I want to see is Shane versus Martinez. My thing with Shane was when he talked about how he wasn't strong there or whatever, being the reason he wouldn't want to fight Sergio at 154.
He said Martinez is stronger at 154 than he is at 154. Is that incorrect?
he clearly isn't at his best at 154. Sure he KO'd an older Mayorga but he looked bad for about 11 and a half rounds if you recall. Vargas had already been KO'd a couple times and shanes other fights at 154 was a draw to Mora and two losses to wright. Not his best body of work

What does it matter? The fact of the matter is that he fought at 154 on more than one occasion and knocked out guys at that weight. So I don't want to hear him talking about how can't fight there.

Mosley is like 39 years old, he only has so many top level fights in him (if any), a fight with Sergio would mean f*ck all and even if it was made people would be criticizing Sergio for taking the fight.
People must be smoking mental illness blunts if they think Mayweather is going to step up to either light middle or middle weight to face Sergio, sadly he is just a weight division to big to face the other top p4p's.
