Did Pac is the first boxer who fought 5 straight boxing champions on his very first fight when he officially moved up in every division he went in?
When Pac officially moved up in these weight divisions. His very first fight were immediately against these current champions.
Featherweight - Barrera
Super Featherweight - Morales
Lightweight - Diaz
Light Welterweight - Hatton
Welterweight - Cotto
Any boxer out there did the same? Mostly, it is a common knowledge when a boxer moving up they took a tune up fight first to test the uncharted water. There were some who brave enough and did it but I don't think as many as what Pac did.
Morales wasnt a Champion by previously losing to Barrera. But he was still ranked #7 pound for pound by the Ring Magazine.
the others are legitimate champions
Barrera - Lineal
Diaz - Alphabet
Hatton - Lineal ( But he was 142 againts DLH )
Cotto - Alphabet ( he fought at Welterweight before. )
so only Diaz and Barrera are Title holders as far as the moving up thing.

But when you think about it, those last 3 were pretty weak champions. Not hating on Pac, he's an outstanding fighter.

don't think it's a record, but it's a good feat
but why even mention Diaz? he sucks
youre confusing bro. im not sure if ur a pac fan or a hater but its refreshing that youre not blinded by all his victories. i still fond you odd tho. in a good way
Do not reply to me faggot...
Wait are you DJ EMZ? The dude who would suck Christiano cock?
If you're not him, I apologize.
If you're him, then yea don't reply to me faggot.
First of all Morales? Wasn't a title holder at 130. I'm a Pac fan bro. So don't come at me with BS. He's my favorite active fighter. I know about his career. If you going to say some stuff about Pac make sure is facts. Don't lie about it cuz' I will call you out on it.
Then you can't count Pac WW title cuz' he had a fight at WW before facing Cotto.
Also Pac had a fight at 126 2 fights prior of fighting Barrera. Against a guy who's name I can't spell so I won't even try.
Go ahead and look it up.
So that leaves Pac with a total of 3.
Again Pac is my boy, that dude is amazing. He's my favorite fighter and all time #2 behind Tito. So there's nothing that you can tell me about Pac career.

Oscar
Super Featherweight - Bredahl
Welterweight - Whitaker
Light Middleweight - Castillejo
MIddleweight - Sturm
total 4
That its, you can't include the 135 as he already fought there many times before the title and at 140 he didn't fought a champ on his very first fight.
Pacquiao
Featherweight - Barrera
Super Featherweight - Morales
Lightweight - Diaz
Light Welterweight - Hatton
Welterweight - Cotto
total 5

That would have looked impressive to me but since that day when he acted funny on not taking the blood test... I see a dark cloud over manny.. Whenever I see him or see him fight.. I think of steroids.
If you think about steroids, he passed all the tests with flying colors. Maybe you mean by some kind of PED but the fact is...there is no amout of PED will make you chin/punch stronger and move faster. These attributes you either born with it or you not. These attributes are main reasons why he is so succesful. PEDs will only allow you train longer but Pac who trains very hard since day one doesn't need it at all.

;10373246']Champions as in belt holders? or Champions as in top fighters of that time?
As in belt holders....I know Barrera won a belt when he beat Morales or Naseem, I can't remember which but I know the belt was vacated shortly after. So Pacquiao didn't win a featherweight title from Barrera. Did he?
he did, ring magazine put their title at that fight as i recall..
No he didn't win a title in his first fight at 147, he didn't go up 140, he actually went down to 140
So no he hasn't accomplish this, if you say he did then you have to say Oscar did as well.
Where he went down to 130 in his first fight and won a title, then going back up to 135 in his first fight and won a title, then going up in his first fight at 147 to win a title, then going up in his first fight to 154 to win a title, and finally going up to 160 in his first fight to win a title.
It can't be selective on what is considered first fight if being a tune up or not. If you going to give Pac credit for it then Oscar did it first.
And, if Oscar accomplished the same thing, then is not an accomplishment worth bragging about.
So please as Pac fans, lets stop the nonsense.

I don't know about him being the first to ever do it but to go up 14 pounds in 25 months against 5 quality fighters to me is impressive.
Who were the 5 quality fighters?

Its impressive but some people thought like it was nothing.
Oscar wanted to fight the winner of Margo/Cotto, but then wanted no part of it after seeing the fight, so then tried to cherry pick Manny himself.

"I've heard a lot of names being mentioned. Manny Pacquiao, which i think is a ridiculous fight. He's too small".
Floyd.Sr
I don't need to know what that link says.......fact is de la hoya fought 2 pounds at 150 because of a future manny fight at 147. And you still have yet to answer when de la hoya cotto or diaz were ring champs?
Keep playing word games I'll keep hitting you over the head with facts.
1. This thread is about Pac who did fought a champ on his very first fight (no tune up against bum) in every division he went in between featherweight up to welterweight. That was 5 in total. Why not just answer my question because I'm just merely asking if there is anybody there who did more than Pac? Anyway, to answer you question. Oscar and Diaz were not a ring champ but Oscar was a former WBC welterweight champ and Diaz was a WBC lightweight champ.
2. First you said.."Don't neglect to mention that oscar hadn't fought below 154 in about 7 years" which wasn't true. Next you said that I said..."you said ring magazine was all that mattered." which I didn't say like that. Then you also said..."he fought a tune up for the manny fight" which was also not true and presented you with facts (link). LMAO! but then you just told me..."I'll keep hitting you over the head with facts." LOL! SMH. I can't find any facts in your posts after all.:boxing:
PAC has achieved more in the last 2 years thN Mayweather has in his career
:lol1:
The even funnier part is the people agreeing with this character. Keep Mayweather out of the thread, for once.
