Gatoraid is NOT a performance enhancing liquid.....:pat: You can basically take a salt tablet and drink some water and it will have a similar effect. Gatoraid will replenish electrolytes and does have sugar but sugar might not be the best thing to take during a fight like that. It can have adverse effects as well. Believe me, gatoraid isn't going to give you some magical help to do what Morales did, that was all heart. I think I heard someone said once sugar makes does not benefit you when you have a cut. Supposedly it makes you bleed more when. Can this be the reason they choose not to drink it.

There was another recent fight from the last couple weeks I noticed a fighter drinking gatoraide. Def not allowed typically, maybe there was some kinda agreement reached b4 hand. maybe it was when Mayorga was drinking some in the Cotto fight

Xylocaine is also called lidocaine which is a numbing agent that can be used in many different ways. It can be use as a topical, injectable, orally, or inhaled. What they are referring to is Mayweather using these injections in his hands before a fight so his hands won't hurt during the bout. Personally I have a problem with that. If my hands are numb and I can hit you as hard as I want without feeling it thats a weapon in it self. That's why if you look more than half this indivduals fights are in Vegas because its legal.

Gatorade is not going to change the outcome of a fight in anyway shape or form, that goes for coffee and orange flavored Tang as well, if they allowed it who cares? How bout grape soda?

Nobody has mentioned this, but I'm pretty sure your not aloud to drink Gatorade during a pro-fight; did I miss something? Did anyone else see this? Yes, you could gulp down gatorade very loudly and nobody cares how noisy it is.
