Tha fuck are u talkin about, not once did I say Maidana would knock him out if he used different gloves. Nor am I downplaying Morales spectacular performance. I always knew Maidana is a crude slugger with power. It's just that after the fight, i remember Eaner's thread bout Morales saying Maidana needs to wear Winning's Gloves or no fight. To a hardcore fan like most of you guys, its Morales boxing skills that schooled Maidana but to heavy betters, its Morales boxing skills and what gloves, what size ring, weigh in, day of fight weigh in, training camp, distractions, etc.
So relax with all this im hating on Morales shit damn.
Not particularly you, Jim brought it up during the fight last night too. Larry Merchant did it for Pacquiao Morales 1.
I'm tired of Winning being used as an excuse whenever Erik Morales has a great performance.

Yes, they are not the punchers glove that Reyes is but also Morales's punches would be harder if he wore Reyes too. Morales probably wanted those gloves so his face wouldn't get so sliced up but it ended up bad anyway. And yes Morales stunned maidana a few times with the pillow gloves so I don't know how much difference it really makes. Maybe Maidana would have gone down if morales was wearing Reyes. I think Maidana does have enough power that the gloves would not make much difference but he couldn't connect good enough.
Your are right, just wondering if the outcome would of been different with different gloves.
Me too, for all we know, if they rematch with Reyes gloves Maidana may KO Morales or Morales may beat Maidana more convincingly.
It is possible that the gloves helped Morales, but he did stun Maidana with them a few times...just saying.

Wow your a fukking retard. A flush shot is a flush shot. You're still taking a fukking punch to the face no matter what glove he's wearing. Fukking FAIL.
I knew you would be the first guy in this thread. Hey, like i said I wasnt implying anything just food for thought.

I rather take Eaner's word, a guy who works with boxing gloves to make a living, than a biased Mexican/Erik Morales stan's word.
It is all so known that Morales did the same thing for the first Pacquiao fight. Winning gloves or no fight, Pacquiao lost the fight. Rematch was with Reyes gloves, Pacquiao knocks him out.
As many of you know I work for Everlast and one of my newer clients was Chino Maidana. We have had some good success with Chino and he liked our new MX glove so save for fights in Argentina (where he has to use Corti) he fights in Everlast in one form or another
so when the Morales fight was announced I reached out to Sebastian C. who advised Maidana asking him what Chino needed and which Everlast glove he wanted for this fight. Sebastian told me that Morales made him choose Winning gloves for this fight or no fight at all. I reached out to people at Golden Boy and they verified that Chino could only use Winning fight gloves on April 9th.
so while I do think Maidana has enough power to overcome that it does not help his cause to fight in a glove that is aimed more for protection than to damage infliction
not implying anything, just food for thought
