ROUND 9: Maidana coming out, looking to land some shots on the inside. However, Morales is moving well and blocking shots. Maidana gets Morales in trouble and throws a vicious barrage of punches. Punches in bunches and forcing Morales to tie up. However, he weathers the storm and comes back to back Maidana up against the ropes. Morales now following his man and landing a short left hook. Two big shots for Morales with Maidana covering up. Morales against the ropes but he stuffs the shots and moves out. Two small shots fo Morales land as Maidana seems to have tired. Three uppercuts on the inside for Maidana and Maidana lands a few shots to the body in return. A right uppercut for Morales. Maidana hits Morales twice up top. Maidana misses three shots to end the round. Even round, 10-10. - 87-86.

ROUND 8: A big left hook for Morales lands and hurts Maidana. He wobbles and forces the tie up. Maidana gets his legs back but Morales lands a nice straight left. big uppercut lands and then another straight shot as Maidana then lands a big right hand. Morales takes it well and then goes back to his jab. MOrales against the ropes as Maidana throws to the body. A few jabs and then a right hand move Maidana back but nothing serious lands. Maidana a little more cautious now. Maidana bouncing, trying to buy time and a right hand for Maidana lands. An uppercut on the inside for Morales lands and then a big left hook. Morales rolling with the shots that Maidana throws back. Morales moving away from the slower shots of Maidana. At the end of the round, Maidana doesn't know where his corner is. ROUND 7: Morales moving and Maidana not landing much but throwing more. Morales jabbing and backing up. Two shots to the body and then one up top for Morales. Maidana lands an overhand shot after the Morales combination. On the inside, Morales lands two decent body shots. A big right hand just misses Morales. Morales putting together a big combination that seems to stiffen up Maidana's legs. Morales backing up abnd landing shots. Then again with jabs. ROUND 6: Morales backing up at the start of the round. Maidana and Morales both missing with some big shots. Maidana landing some short shots on the inside, but Morales blocks and takes them well. Morales countering in the middle of the ring and Maidana seeming to have trouble finding his moments and potentially slowing down. Morales ties up when Maidana comes in and Morales then moves away. Maidana throwing more shots still but still not landing much effective. Morales slipping punches and countering. A little left for Maidana gets in with Morales agaisnt the ropes. A right for Maidana lands as well. A bit shot. Morales seemed stunned and Maidana is looking to finish, but MOrales fights back and has Maidana against the ropes by the end of the round. ROUND 5: Morales starts the round out backnig up as Maidana seems happy with that. Maidana throwing a bunch of punches, but Morales fires back and lands more shots and tags him with several shots. Maidana takes them well and Morales gets pinned against the ropes. A jab to the body lands for Morales, then another when he moves away. Morales slinging his punches together, and a big right hand for Morales lands. Maidana takes it well but gets caught with two counter shots after lunging in and missing. Maidana hits on the break and the referee gives him a stern warning. Solid uppercut for Morales lands. Two more shots land. Another right hand lands. The referee separates them when they tie up and then Maidana gets him against the ropes. Maidana goes to the body, but Morales lands a solid counter shot. Morales goes to the body but it's partially blocked. The referee warns Maidana about headbutting. Maidana goes to the body and then pins his man against the ropes. Morales backs away, looking to jab. Maidana throwing more but not landing much and getting some of his shots blocked. A solid right hand lands for Maidana. He pins Morales up again and slips in a few shots. ROUND 3: The right eye is almost completely shut now, and Morales gets tagged with a left hand. Morales then waits a bit a lands a solid shot of his own. Morales seems to want to get going, throwing a bit more now. A little to the body, then finishing up top with a glancing shot. Maidana comes in and clubs to the body, then a few shots up top. Maidana gets him against the ropes and lands some more attacks to the body. Morales moves out of trouble then a feint lets him land a right hand. An uppercut then a right hook for Maidana lands to the body and then the head, respectively. Followed by two or three solid uppercuts. Morales moving back now, as he jabs Maidana off of him. ROUND 2: Morales comes out, looking to jab and counters with a decent shot. Maidana now looking for his own jab. Maidana coming in, looking to start faster than he normally does. Guerrero working in and out now, landing some solid shots. Guerrero closes the fight well, landing some thudding shots. Guerrero ends the night, having landed more than 400 punches in the bout. A couple of big lefts land for Guerrero as Katsidis keeps trying to walk his man down. Another big left hand straight down the middle. Both tie up on the inside and land up top with some chopping shots. Both take them well. A left hand for Katsidis within a combination lands as he lunges in. Guerrero hits him with a right hand. ROUND 10: Championship rounds begin with Guerrero looking to jab and backing as Michael is looking for moments to lunge in. Both seem a bit winded, then begin to look for big shots as they both miss.
