People are sleeping on Ishida he's a tecnician ,very fast and can outsmart the con, IMO he will frustrate kirkland and will outbox him
my only worry is that he keeps his hands very low
now getting a decision is another thing i mean we all saw pdl vs bronner
GREAT call
but really we all wish him well. boxing is most likely all he has.
and he might not be as good as some thought or hoped for the other night.
he has not been picking his shots in these post fights and looked like he had no sparing with a taller fighter or had any respect for Ishida period.
hope he goes to the gym and gets his skills together, because we ALL like guys who ko opponents.
seeing how kirkland handles julio's power, conventional thinker would say this is just a tune up fight..
really surprise how kirkland's chin never hold against this jap.
:lol1: Damn!.. Kirkland showed in his previous fights that he may have been a walking KO waiting to happen.. and proved it tonight. Dude was getting hyped up off beating weak opposition. Good call.
Is this where I come to eat crow?
The odds tonight were +1500/-3000, meaning you could get paid 15 to 1 on the underdog and had to bet $30 on Kirkland just to win $1.
That was a very big upset. When you consider it was a first round stoppage, that was a HUGE upset.
Kirkland was -4000 for this fight. That is what you called "no hoper" odds. I didnt look at Ishida's resume at all. The odds told me there was no reason to.
when i saw the japanese only had 7 KO's, i was like this is over. if you can't keep kirkland off of you, then he's going to eat you alive, period.
not realizing how bad kirkland's chin really is, i stand corrected :D
