Who Does Amir Khan Have the Best Chance of Beating at Welterweight

Khan is still a work in progress imo. After/if he gains more world class experience from cleaning out 140lbs he might be better equipped to handle some of those guys.

Didn't Khan come in for his last fight at 149? He seems to be a normal sized 140 pounder to me...I think he might be a little small at Welterweight, but with his piston like jab and handspeed I think he can be an ok fighter in that weight class. I think Berto, Mayweather, and Pac beat him easily. Berto too much speed and power. Pac has speed and Volume punching. And Floyd is just too skilled. Shane has a punchers chance for like the first 5. Amir probably beats him by UD, tbh. Luis Collazo and Victo Ortiz will be good fights, IMO. I think Ortiz' power and speed can give Khan some problems. But he just doesn't seem to have heart. It's like once he gets hit hard he just starts to retreat. I think Khan beats him. A stoppage in the later rounds. Luis Collazo is always competitive but just doesn't seem to have enough to beat an elite fighter. I've never seen Brook fight so I don't really have an opinion on that match up.

Khan is a big guy for 140. He will do just fine at 147 except against Floyd, Pac, Cotto, Marg or Old Mosley.

Amir can beat Ortiz and maybe Collazo. Other than that, I don't think his chin stands up at 147. Berto has poor defence but the kid has a chin, he can also bang and has speed, Pacquiao has speed and power, Cotto would break him down and break him with a hook, Floyd would out-box and stop him after a good deal of punishment...basically, stay away from the big boys at 147.

Khan is a tall guy and will get better as he moves up in weight. He has the potential ability to beat all of the fighters listed aside from Pacquaio and Mayweather.

Collazo,Brook all the others will knock him out

From what I read, Kahn didnt have any issues moving up to 140, but he did have trouble making 135. If he was having trouble making 140(he isnt) Id think he'd have a better shot at welter. But since his chin is still slightly questionable at 140, I dont think he'd be a formadible contender at 147 compard to where he is now at 140. Berto, Cotto, Mosley take him out.

i honestly dont think khan has the range for 147. he just dont have the defense. one thing i will say is he better stay away from berto, pac, mayweather.

as much as i don't like khan, i know he can beat everyone on the list besides mayweather and pacquiao. berto is an iffy one, i think berto has what it takes to stop him, but who knows...

Really? By whom? Berto? The same Berto who throws wide shots, keeps his head up too high for counters and who's feet stay behind when he goes on to attack? Khan himself doesn't have "great" defense. Though Berto isn't the killer of all killers at 147, his speed along with the pop he does have would hurt Khan, possibly take him out. I think for the most part, Khan's chin is always going to be a question mark going into any fight with a guy who's got a punch. He got my respect after surviving the Maidana fight, but I can't imagine how he'd be able to survive the power and overall boxing ability from Berto, Cotto, or even Mosley for that matter (who IMO could still KO Khan).

There is still the chin question, yeah he held out with Maidana for 12 rounds but he looked out on his feet when he got hit. But in terms of his ability and his boxing game, he should/could be able to bang with all those guys.

How about Khan who stands there like a statue when an overhand right comes along... and after 3 land, does he move his head when another one comes? Of course not! Berto has 10x the skill Maidana has, and Maidana had him on queer street multiple times. Khan doesn't wanna taste WW power... or someone as fast or faster than himself.

I think right now he'd beat Ortiz, Brook, and Collazo. I see him having issues for different reasons with the other guys.

Khan can do a lot of things at 140lbs... at welterweight his career will be ruined.

Overlooking khans abilities abit there? I mean, yeah alot of them would be a hard fight...but flattens? Only Pac would flatten khan in my opinion.... I dunno. The Maidana fight was quite something. But I can't imagine Khan getting caught by a hook from Shane Mosley, getting punished to the body by Cotto, taking an uppercut from Berto and not getting laid out like a picnic blanket. Perhaps Floyd might not take him out.
