if only roy knew how to stop fighting when he should no longer be figting, those ugly ko losses he had wouldn't have been part of any forum discussions. people would have nothing to throw out to tarnish the greatness of roy jones
Man, how can anyone not like Roy Jones? Exciting fighter and one of my favorite boxers, and easily one of the greatest to lace em. Nobody could have beaten Roy in his prime.
Sad that he doesn't know when to start hanging those gloves.
my son is 5 yrs old and he's always asking me can so and so beat so and so...you know how kids ALWAYS come up with fantasy fights :lol1:...when he asks me about Roy I always tell him NOBODY could've beaten Roy when he was in his prime...NOBODY!!...he then gives this puppy eye look and says "not even Bernard?"....NOPE, not EVEN Bernard!!!!(kids :lol1:)....so yea, thats how I see Superman
Awww... :lol1: :lol1:

Greatest resume since Ali
A+ wins:
Toney and Hopkins
A- wins:
Hill, McCallum, Griffin2, Ruiz, Harding
B wins:
Sosa, Tarver1, Woods, Tate, Del Valle, Harmon, Gonzalez
Remember consider he lost about 15 rounds total in those 14 fights 5 of them coming against Tarver when he was already past his prime
My all time favorite fighter. I just watched his fight vs Woods again. Such a sick performance. His best was vs Toney tho.
Awesome avatar... I was playing NBA 2K11 last night... 1991 Finals Bulls vs Lakers.
He is great fighter, too bad that he didn't fight great fights against great fighters.
yea because he absolutely destroyed the great fighters he fought. roy's never had that middle period where you could see him slipping and actually getting into wars. he went from boom to bust very fast. either way, it wasnt his fault that he was just that much better than anyone around his weight class.
he may not have alot of "so called names" on his resume..but he fought all the top contenders and mandatories he is a certified atg and the most one of the most skilled fighters ive ever seen
