People disrespecting boxers.. saying they got no balls, no heart.. calling them quitters, cowards
How many of you keyboard warriors have actually boxed?
How many fights have you had?
How many fights have you won?
How many titles have you won?
What the **** have you achieved???
this is a message board plain and simple while there are times the views of this and other boards spill into the industry for the most part message boards like this are made for our ability to share opinions. As long as it doesn't cross the line of decency (which could be the topic at hand) then subject matter and the critique of it should be allowed.
As a fan that pays to see these guys fight eachother, I have the right to criticize when I feel I'm not getting my money's worth.
If I walked out of a movie and blogged "The script of this movie was terrible, and so was the directing, and the acting" would u tell me
"How many of you keyboard warriors have actually made a movie?
How many movies have you written?
How many movies have you directed?
How many movies have you acted in?
What the **** have you achieved???"
Becuz that would be pathetic
i've had 84 fights
i won 80 by KO...the other 4 were early in my career and my trainer told me to get rounds under my belt
i won 7 titles
i was voted North Dakota fighter of the decade
:lol1:.......
You've got to be critical sometimes. Boxing is a tough sport - anyone with half a braincell knows that. But criticism plays a big part in boxing, it's good have heated debates. If no one had an opinion then boxing wouldn't be fun. Boxing makes for great banter too.
And people do pay money to watch a good display of boxing. Also, boxers often talk a good fight and put on abysmal performances, conning the viewers of their money. We don't follow this sport to watch boxers pick up their pay cheques without the desire to win.
Everyone has a right to their own views, right & wrong.
^^^^This right here. ^^^^^
I pay to watch and if I don't like what I see, I'm gonna give my opinion on it. Its just sports people. Relax. You may not like or agree with other people's opinions but they ARE emtitled to it regardless of how stupid it is.
I used to say this all the time. I go to the boxing gym every week and have yet to hear somebody call a pro boxer a coward and nutless. People who have done it now how treacherous of a sport this is. To get to the level of a successful pro boxer is so unbelievably diminishing to the body. Something that obese keyboard warrior could never contemplate doing ever.
pretty much
When did it get so hard for some people to have a boxing discussion without insulting eachother and denigrating professional fighters with such low class, gutter level trash talk like Pactard & Gayweather etc? No matter how it's spun by the trash talkers, irregardless of their silly justifications; insulting fans and fighters with derogatory terms like that is ignorant and disrespectful. This is a pet peeve of mine right now, boxing fans who for whatever reason lack the ability to speak in respectful terms about fighters and fellow fight fans. Grow up people! Boxing is a gentleman's sport, act like gentlemen!

In America, if you pay to watch the bout, be it through buying the ticket, the PPV, the cable subscription to view the fight etc, then anything goes. If a guy looks like **** it's more of a *****ass move to make excuses, like Cotto fans that rave for him despite the fact that he hasn't looked good in years. That's not disrespect, it's the truth. Frankly, him fighting on PPV with bums that are further past it then he is, is way more disrespectful than just stating the truth that he hasnt had a good showing in years.
What I was primarily targeting is not people ****ting on fighters for not fighting each other (Mayweather/Pacquiao) or cherrypicking but rather the fans ridiculing boxers who are forced to their knee such as Cotto and Calderon..
I agree. It's fine to have an opinion, but to **** talk a professional boxer is uncalled for. Especially recently with Calderon you've had tools on her saying this and that. I would to see any one of them step in the ring with him.

although i do agree, there is a level of respect that needs to be held for each and every fighter, for what they do is putting their life in danger each time they lace them up.
with that being said, boxers, sports figures, celebs, ALL put themselves up on the public chopping block opening themselves to all sorts of criticism. thats part of the gig. they have publicists and promoters putting their names out there and getting them all sorts of attention and the like, they are fair game at that point, and certain rights have been given up by them since entering the public arena as such. just look at how they have no privacy laws for them if they've hired a publicist and promote their names, its kind of sick and saddening..... but true. it's how the paparazzi get to harass people without any trouble by the law because they're protected by the law due to the fact they're public figures.
i don't think bashing someone is cool, but, it's not out of bounds, since the rules have been laid, and actually by LAW too....... i only call out shenanigans but at the same time, i have no problem talking smack on a guy that deserves it by his actions............
it's not about what have you done? and if its nothing, you have no say.... it doesn't work like that, only if i was passing myself as an expert in the same field of work with no experience or achievements would it be relevant as to " what the fvck have i/you done??? other than that, it's all fair game......... the rules have been set long before you even thought about this.............TS....

you don't have to be a boxer in order to enjoy boxing.
boxer's aren't allowed to quit or duck fights. it shows no balls or heart and exposes them as cowards.
I'm not on anyone's side.
The great thing about forums, is that you get a million different opinions. You don't have to "be a boxer" to express them.
Your comment is the sort I would expect from a creature who publicly boasts of "banging Jew broads.........'
I MY opinion, you are an ignorant clown, and offensive to notmal humanity.
But, to get to your post...... The problem with getting "a million" posts is that we are brought face to face with a huge amount of people who are "sick", and it range from neurotic inferiority complex, to plain low level, sub-normal, mentality, including psychopathic tendencies.
Like you for instance., with your "Jew broads" which you no doubt think is clever and makes you a "BIG MAN" in your own mind, but to normal people, is deeply offensive and shows ugly sickness.

Pascal is a pussssy. lol
STFU fool, do you know what boxers do for a living. Boxers are prize fighter that fight for money. When they duck a fight will make them the most money = COWARDDDD
Wow, So Pacquiao is a coward?
Agreed.
This topic has been brought up many times. There's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion as a fan or analyst, as long as you do it in a fairly respectful manner. Calling a fighter a coward, tomato can, bum, etc. is not only disrespectful to the boxer, but to the sport in general. (The same attitude is on display when certain "e-thugs" spew disrespectful comments toward hidden strangers that might otherwise kick their asses in real life.) People should speak their minds, but that doesn't mean they're at liberty to offend.
