Mad Respect To Giovanny Segura

Prpps to Calderon for fighting in Mexico, Im sure he will move to 105 and win another title there!! I want to see Segura fight Roman Gonazales at 112!!!!

Calderon deserves respect just for being a mini man and hanging with the big boys for so long. No one can take that fromn him no matter what anybody says. To go to some ones back yard and try to take a title back is a true mans way. Not waiting for someone to vacat a belt and fighting a d level fighter to win said title. Calderon should just open up a gym, and train fighters who like his style. There's always a gifted fighter that he can take under his wing.

Im a Fan and he gets mad props and respect for the destruction of Ivan Calderon. Seguro simply destroyed his ass. He even said, that he would KO Calderon way sooner this time and he did. From 108-115 this dude will be a force, at only guys with a chance are Gonzalez, Seda, Cazarez and Mijares, the rest gets pulverize by Segura. I don't know man I tend to think of it the same way I saw the third fight between Morales and Pacquiao where Erik knew he had little left to hold off Manny for long and rather take a sustained beating where he would definitely have to quit the sport due to irreparable damage he decides to cut it short and weigh his options no shame in a warrior knowing when the odds aren't just stacked against you but leaving you hopeless. Puerto Ricans are as bad as the Mexican fans on here. Not all Mexican fans are that way because I don't say anything negative about PR fighters. The truth is, Calderon is older and not as good as he once was, just like Rafa Marquez was against JuanMa. Old lions lose, young lions come and take their place, it's part of sports and boxing. I have all the respect in the world for Calderon, he's a classy fighter and has been on top of his division for a very long time. There's a few good posters on both sides who talk boxing, real and sensible. The rest are garbage posters IMHO.

Honestly I felt bad for Calderon, it seemed to me that the ring size really affected him, he just couldn't get away from Segura

I think Segura has flaws that can get his ass knocked out, but I give the ts mad props for making this thread. :boxing: he's had these same flaws since I have known him and only one fighter has taken advantage of it.

It does help that Calderon can not punch. well it also stood up to guys like Canchilla and Tamara both of whom can crack at that weight

what r u talking about? Are you kidding? Taking a knee in 3 rounds is never the way to go. Cab also called out lopez but he straight out ducked him. He would of gotten tons of credit for taking that fight intead of the marquez fight. I would still give him major props if he fights him at featherweight but thats not gona happen. Here are fight where your guys would get credit cazarez vs seda not mismatches like vazquez arce where i already know vazquez will win. And maybe bc segura began to take his career seriously it happens alot like titere vazquez did that too he was fighting with guys like canelo and bardley and now is a champ at lightweight. Did you not see the fight in the ring lopez looked huge compared to marquez. People rave about the segura fight bc segura according to every one was a crude brawler who would never land against a defensive wizard. Segura was the underdog and he proved every one wrong. On the othe hand lopez was the huge favorite fighting marquez who was moving up in weight and had come of 3 wars with vazquez. Every one knew marquez was going to loose. The same thing is happening with vazquez with arce. did Juanma call out Marquez? Did vazquez call out Arce? i understand what ur saying, trust me i do, but ur people need to learn how to give credit and thats the bottom line...
