----------------------------
ROUND 1:
Giovani looks to be head-hunting at first. Missing a few shots, then going for a few jabs. Segura now trying to dig to the body. Calderon looking to box. Calderon trying to get in the middle of the ring but missing most of his shots thus far. Calderon missing a couple of hooks, but avoiding any counter-shots. Giovani looking to jab his way in, a few landing. Calderon falls on a slip. Calderon counters with a jab. Calderon blocking a loose hook. Segura now digging to the body. Both trade jabs, Segura landing the better shot. Segura still sneeking in body-shots. Missing wildly with a right hook. About 20 seconds to go, Calderon lands a solid jab that connects. Calderon seems to want to tie up ion the inside. Segura still digging to the body with thudding shots. Close, relatively slow round.
Ivan Calderon, 10-9.
I mentioned Segura more, because he was trying more. He didn't really do too much more, besides the heavy body shots.
I give the boxer a round that I feel judges would favor him in. Body work shows up in the next round, not the round it takes place in (typically.) Either way, Calderon laid in some decent work and it was a close round.
Really doesn't matter now. I expected Segura to win by stoppage.
physically you are correct.....point wise, they count just like head shots.
You have Calderón winning R2, too, even as your description of it suggests a Segura round.

this is a brutal sport ivan is a great boxer accomplished more than you could imagine.
he knew he couldnt win. sometimes you have to know when to give up n move on
f*ck u i respect fighters that try to ovecome adversity, yea calderon has an inpresive record but who has he beaten????????????????, the first time he faces adversity he folds his cards,,, look at maidana he got kdown with a huge body punch and he still got up and gave us a war!!!!
Calderon is a piece of sh!t,,, no heart, no bal!s
Speaking of balls, Segura sure got in a lot of low blow shots including one right before the punch that put Calderon down...

ROUND 3:
Calderon still looking to move and jab. Segura still looking to attack the body and slow his man down. Lazy left for Segura barely lands. Combination for Giovani misses and a jab for Calderon lands. A few jabs for Segura find the mark now. Segura digging to the body now, with Calderon laying against the ropes. Calderon may have been stunned as Giovani keeps landing. Big right hand lands and Calderon goes to the body, then the chin as Calderon goes to his knees. The shots seemed low, but Calderon doesn't beat the count.
GIOVANI SEGURA RETAINS WITH A KO.
ROUND 2:
Calderon comes out jabbing, Segura chasing his man down. Digging to the body as Calderon seems to fight through it. Two solid shots to the body then head for Segua land, as Calderon tries to jab his man off. Calderon seeming a little more mobile than in the first fight, but Segura is digging with hooks and uppercuts to the body that could take their toll. Calderon exchanging and actually handling himself well. Segura jabbing his way in, avoiding most counters other than the jab. A huge body shot by Segura, which the referee considers it low. Another shot seems low as Segura pursues his man. Big jab for Segura lands that seems to catch Calderon's attention. Both had their moments.
Ivan Calderon, 20-18.
