So all of these commercials during the final four and a few more episodes later on cbs its going to push this mediorce fight to amazing ppv buys. For example, im just one person and 8 people that arent boxing fans text me about the fight camp 360 since they had cbs on. If this fight does 1.5 mil buys which i am thinking is likely now we could be kissing hbo big ppv fights goodbye
I must've missed the commercial during the pre-game show but hey, it's a start. Hopefully we see more of this during the championship game. I don't remember seeing anything about it during the VCU/Butler game at all. I would much rather them show the promo for this fight during the 2nd half of games instead of the pre-game. As far as the numbers go... I really don't believe they'll get 1.5 million but they might surpass the Pac-Margarito numbers.
Watched the whole VCU/Butler game and the only commercial I saw was for Fight Camp 360 right before the halftime updates. It was actually pretty lengthy too.

Just what we need. Another "megafight" that lets down the casual fan and drives them away again like Oscar vs Floyd. Awesome.
I disagree, both guys have styles that are very appealing to the casual fans.
Except this is a guaranteed action fight, not some jab and run don't wanna break my finger nail boring split decision exhibition. No one watching will be let down, that's a guarantee.
Also guaranteed is that this fight does well over 1 mil buys, making Pacquiao the first fighter ever to have 4 consecutive years of at least that many.
And the wheel in the sky keeps on turnin'.
100% agree. When has Pac ever had a big fight that let down the viewing audience? He has been in some lopsided fights, but they were fun to watch.
I don't expect it to do 1 mil, mosley is coming off a draw and a huge loss
I guarantee you that 95% of the people who watched and will watch this Fight Camp series have never heard of Sergio Mora, unless they remember him from the Contender. All the casuals know is that it's Pacquiao fighting Mosley, who they've heard of from the DLH, Mayweather, etc fights. Doubt they know (or care) he's coming off a draw against some guy they don't know.
People always underestimate the power of hype and good marketing. EASY 1 mil buys, wouldn't be surprised if it pushed past 1.5
No way in hell it does worse than Pac-Margarito, doesn't even make sense that it would with more promotions and a bigger name attached. Pac is also doing 60 minutes again which I think helped big time with the Tony fight #s.
This will be BIG in PPV revenue. You can all bookmark that.
How do they watch it for free if they don't have cable though? I'm confused? Lot's of channels are free, but you still have to go through a cable provider to access them.
All you need is a TV, an antenna and possibly a converter if you have an old TV~
I'm pretty sure most people who have CBS have "Cable". You kinda have to if you want to watch tv.
Look it up there is a still a large percentage of people who do not have cable, and CBS is still free. So a large percent of that HUGE extra audience is meaningless in terms of buying the fight.
More eyeballs is good though because people could get talking.

Base on how fast the gate got sold, 1+mil is simply inevitable.
I bet you one point or however this works....LOL
I do think this fight will be very entertaining for an execution. I have alot of people that dont watch boxing that asked about watching it here when fight happens. I do fear a 1.5 mil buys and a knockout would hurt the chances of a mayweather fight
I feel bad for the casual observer who is suckered into buying this public execution.
If you didn't know any better you would think that the Mosley/Margarito fight happened relatively recently. Are they ever going to mention the Mayweather/Mora fights at all? They just aren't being honest with Mosley's chances and are intentially decieving the viewer, and I can't stand that.
