JMM is a great counter-puncher and scholar of the sport, but at this point in his career I think he is primed for a Judah left uppercut! Either Judah by KO or Marquez by Dec.
How the fukk do you come up with that ridiculous statement since he's never fought at 140??? It's easy to say he looks horrible putting on weight when he just bloats up right away to 147 against one of the best fighters in the game today, definitely the best defensive fighter in some time.
That's the only thing Zab really has going for him is that Marquez looks best against come forward fighters because his counter punching is amazing but Zab is a fast speed boxer so he could definitely mayweather him in root to a decision. Definitely think the first 5 rounds are exciting & competitive, it's up to Judah if he can keep it up the rest of the way to make it a real hard fought close ass decision.
However Marquez is my boy so I think he starts breaking Judah after that 5th round and stops him in the championship rounds(10-12) and shocks the world like we he knocked out Casamayor.
Was looking at the Mazuba fight last night. Yeah it's going to be close I think between the two. It really depends on what style Zab want to use. If he takes the "bicycle" route, it depends how long he can stay on that bicycle. This is a much higher risk fight for JMM IMO as he is in the top p4p list. If Zab is more of an aggressor, than I think JMM will take it.
I have been disappointed with Judah...a lot, but if he has REALLY rededicated himself, as he says, he could KO Marquez, or stop him. A sudden heavy puncher like Judah, (and Manny P.) could do it.

Zab Judah is NOT going to stop Marquez. Period. Cream rises to the top and Marquez is just the better fighter. Judahs' awkward style could make it hard on him for the first few rounds but Marquez would adjust. He always adjusts. How many hard countershots can he eat before the old Zab comes back and he stops fighting?
Judah isn't Floyd, when he hurts Marquez,he's gonna stop him at 140.This is a bad style matchup for Marquez.
sure isnt..he gets hit alot more than floyd does and is a mental midget
Lucas Matthyse. Carlos Baldomir. When has Zab Judah stepped up big when it mattered? His best wins are against Cory Spinks and a split decision against Corley. Sorry that don't impress me. Judah isn't a good fighter and never has been. IMO. I'm disappointed as a JMM fan that he is probably gonna take this fight.
Close fight for 3 rds then JMM takes over and stops him around the 10th...Judah has a mind like a paper cup, Marquez has a mind like Fort Knox....that is the difference.
too close to call...
interestingly enough most votes are for jmm stopping judah....thats like the least likely possible scenario if u ask me. jmm doesnt have the power to stop anyone of note >135
it took cotto 11 rounds and some controversial tactics to stop judah, tszyu is one of the most powerful punchers at 140 ever and nobody else has managed to do it. not even the big ghanian clottey
I think Marquez is a better fighter and has been a better champion but he loses speed when he moves up and remember he was a very natural featherweight.
At his age against a bigger southpaw at junior welterweight, I am going with the underdog in Judah.
Possibly goin down in July :boxing:
Zab will need a miracle in this one.He was lucky to beat Mabuza because he lost every round in that fight.Marquez's a tough fighter and very good.Unless Jesus comes through for Zab I see Marquez win by KO around the 6th round
Marquez beats Judah. He has all the tools and experience to do it and has a great chin.Marquez uses every punch in boxing effectively and breaks his opponents down. Its a beauty to watch.Zab is rededicated and may be more poised under pressure, but he does not throw his combinations anymore nor go to the body as much. I see Marquez breaking him down and knocking him out by the 11th.
Man Judahs hand speed, power, his new found defense, he takes this rolling, I have nothing but respect for JMM but he won't be able to handle Judah, I will put 1 mill, 500 K bonus if he knocks him out
Big difference between weighing in at 135 and entering the ring at 146 and actually weighing in at 140. As the Mayweather fight showed.
I think Marquez is too past it to deal with Judah's speed. Judah isn't good enough to blow Marquez away, but the athletic advantage is too much. That in addition to Judah's power, and I would expect him to win this. Not sure where people are getting the idea Marquez is slick or will avoid Judah's punches, Marquez doesn't avoid much nowadays. He's also not the same Marquez from the Pacquiao fights, much as people still think he is.
cant base anything off of the floyd fight...floyd makes everyone look bad....jmm didnt do any worst than most others
