I think this fight might be more competitive than people think.
Yeah, that's the same thing I thought after watching all the hype from the Calzaghe Jones 24/7s and look how that turned out. I have a feeling if Shane can't hurt Manny early and often this will be a savage beating because Shane has a good chin and will fight to the end.
That would be insane if it happened, but I just can't see that.
What I see if Manny trapping Shane in the corner or a long the ropes, throwing a series of unanswered punches, and either the ref or Nazim stopping the fight.
Outside of Vernon Forrest fight I really haven't seen Shane hurt in a fight, and even then he wasnt on queer street that long. When you look at the punchers Shanes been in the ring with that's pretty amazing, so I just can't see Manny getting a KO victory.
If anything, I see Manny getting a stoppage over Shane, not neccessarily by K.O. but by a barrage of punches - I think possibly Brother Naaz throws in the towel or stops the fight inbetween rounds ala ODLH. I think Pacs speed and movement will tire and frustrate Mosely early and he will probably fade pretty early. Pac will keep turning Mosely, who will probably be doing the 1 punch and hold routine. I just don't see Shane being competitive in this fight. I actually hope I'm wrong.
interesting read.. I think this fight might be more competitive than people think.

so what you're saying is that if pac beats mosley, he beats a legendary fighter?
The mosley that are watching now is easier to KO than the one we have seen in previous years, Mosley is just a name now and thats about it. He was close to being stop against Mayweather who barely threw anything in double figures, so the chances of Pac KO'in Mosley is very very high and shouldnt shock.
Mosley is about to get KO'd for the first time in his career.

The Margarito fight fooled alot of people.
Go watch his fights prior to that and you will see he looked just as terrible, or even worse, than when he fought Mora.
The last time Shane was truly great was around the Oscar II bout.
That about it for me too.
:lol1:...Pactards are funny!...Mosley back? Mosley primer than when he fought Floyd?
Shane is getting destroyed, stop hyping this pointless mismatch!

Pacquiao is going to destroy Shane for the simple fact that Manny has more respect for Shane than he has had for any of his other opponents.
You can see it in his training as I feel Manny is taking this fight very serious.
I know the typical Floyd stand are trying to bring up Shane being shot but the truth is Shane does have the ability to upset Manny. If you look at the Mayorga fight, Shane looked worse than he did in the Mora fight (he looked sluggish, like he had stamina issues as well and was actually get worked NY Ricardo) only to come back the next fight and completely destroy Margarito.
I think we will see the best Shane we have seen in years, but I still feel it won't be enough to beat Manny. Shane is at his best we his back is against the wall, and I think the "Shane is shot" talk is more than enough to get him up for one more fight.
LOL. Dude isn't back at all. But for the sake of a few pactards, he's primer than he was when he fought Mayweather, that's for sure.
Why/how would it be competitive? Manny is going to walk all over this dude. We've seen with our own two eyes what he has left.
lol..........

Styles make fights and Shane will win this fight by KO imao.If he hits Pacquiao's body the movement becomes less and Pacquiao's head is very difficult to miss anywhere.
All of this is just hype for a mis-matched fight. I bet your gut feeling when this fight was first announced wasn't "WOW, that will be one heckuva fight, I wonder who will win!" Nope. It was probably more along the lines of "I hope Manny doesn't break Mosley's face the way he did to Margarito. Shane Mosley is a likeable guy and doesnt deserve that."
I think Pac will need to given more credit than floyd for this win somehow. I never heard SSM talk about how good he felt before the FLoyd fight. Maybe things werent right for that one.
wow
just wow

no matter how many people try and prop this fight up as being competitive or even it's not. All Shane has left is pop and if he cannot pull the trigger what good is it?
all this talk sounds more like someone trying to convince theirselves they have something left rather than being confident.
and this win over him will mean squat.
You sir, are one of the best posters on here. :boxing:
