Consider Manny Pacquiao, David Haye, Floyd Mayweather, James Toney and Amir Khan. Which one is most effective at promoting themselves and their own fights?
Mayweather for sure, I would have never believed he would achieve the level of stardom he has even 5 years ago and the main reason he has is self promotion.
Some of those guys are on the path but they have a long ways to go to reach that level of self promotion.

CHARLIE SHEEN!!!!!!!!!
probably the best and most successful Self Promotion campaign ever!!!!! he took on the establishment and now they want him back!!!!! winning.......
anyone who wants to learn on how to promote ought to call up the Vatican Assassin and take notes...........
i'm not talking about doing crazy things and drugs, i'm talking about hitting the social networks, ustream, etc. let people into your life a bit and CREATE A DEMAND FOR YOURSELF INSIDE AND OUT OF BOXING...........
take notes from the SHEEN_IUS, you've been warned
Mayweather, no doubt. The guy even promotes himself when he doesn't have a fight. He uses social media (Twitter, Facebook, UStream) to promote himself to maintain the world's attention.
I have to agree though that having Manny up there is laughable because so many other people do the work for him. The only thing he did himself was Twitter and that backfired.
Floyd, easily. That guy managed to get to the top of the sport without fighting a dangerous opponent since Corrales. With wins over a fading Oscar & someone who looked like Shane Mosley.
Then I gotta say B-Hop.Sure he flies under the golden boy banner, but we all know B-Hop runs B-Hop & no one else.
Pacman up there is laughable.I agree with Wazaa,Bob says jump & Manny says how high??

Mayweather by far. He's made himself one of the biggest stars in the sport despite having a fighting style that isn't too pleasing to the casual fans.
