Pacquiao wins. Pacquiao will throw(and miss) so many punches Pernell will be on the defensive the entire fight. Pernell is different then Floyd in that he doesn't like to make you miss then counter Pernell just like to make you keep missing and then you get tired and that is when Pernell will get off using his jab. Pacquiao has the stamina to keep punching for 12 rounds. And another important note is IMO Manny has faster hands then Pernell which almost negates his entire offense Not really actually, Pea had a much higher workrate than Floyd and threw more combinations, he also invested a lot into the body, I wouldn't call Pacs stamina superior (both excellent) and Pac isn't some Aaron Pryor type fighter, he attacks, steps back and covers up quite frequently. I don't think theres much in the handspeed either.

Just my opinion, but Sweat Pea by wide decision. Pac is a monster but Sweat Pea is just too much for him, at any weight. It would be nice to see now though since Pac hasn't fought anyone with a good counter puncher style since Marquez. Getting tired of the "well this guy is bigger then Pac" nonsense. You can be as big as you want, without the skill you're just a punching bag, kinda like Margs was.

Sweet Pea and I say that because can't hit what you not in front of you. I like Pac but he does have a problem with counter-punchers. I can't really handicap how you would beat Sweet Pea. You come at him one way and he slips those punches. Come at him another way and he ducks those and gets away. Gameplans go out the window.

Pac's career is not over yet. Pac's been destroying his opponents in 140 and up. if Pernell fight Pac in 147 lbs, the result would still be the same. Pac destroy Pernell. you guys always pick technical fighter over some sluggers 100% of the time in a fantasy fight but in reality they dont always win. ask Pacquiao. and Pac is not just slugger. The guy has skills and talent to win 8 division titles. No way Pernell would stop Pac. thats just B.S. Pernall wont beat todays version of Pac. hard to be in a defensive mode when fighting Pac. easier said than done. Pac is one of the best in this generation. Pac always lose in a fantasy fight. like 0-20 right now. in paper no way he would beat Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Hatton, Dela Hoya and Cotto because of the way he fight.

Cmon man, is this a serious question? Sweet Pea wins "11 out of 10" times at any weight too. I can see PAC asking Roach "what should I do coach" by like round 4 and Roach answering "stop fighting his fuc&ing fight" then by like round 8 PAC having a discouraged look on his face and Roach being reduced to inspirational talk and having no strategic advise for PAC at all because both would suffer miserably at trying to solve the puzzle that was a prime Pernell Whitaker! Worst possible style match up for PAC!!!

Why you guys always set traps for newbies with these threads? They will go youtube a past prime Pernell and say Pac would have killed him. Please stop with these threads. They're a disservice to legends like Sweet Pea.
