What have both of these fighters accomplished to deserve ppv money for fighting each other? I agree that their both very skilled, up and coming champs, but i do not think they deserve ppv money until after they fight each other at least once of HBO. If the fight is good enough then they can have a rematch on ppv, but at this stage they need to just prove who's the best. Plus i doubt they'd make more money fighting someone else then fighting each other for what HBO is offering.

Indeed, he seems a bit more brave now that JuanMa is not in front of him. Tsk, can't wait for Juanma to KO this kid. Jones was faster than Tarver...Ali was faster than Frazier, and Malignaggi was faster than Cotto. Bring it. To be fair; Jones was past his prime and Malignaggi is feather fisted. Really though, this fight would be a belter. This time last year I leaned towards Juanma, currently I lean towards Gamboa. It's a real close match-up.

I agree The only thing thats preventing a fight between these 2 is Bob Arum hbo is preventing it from happening. they don't want to put up the proper funds.

Neither Gamboa or JuanMa are impressed with the $$$ HBO is trying to pay them for a fight. I really doubt Juanma is scared of Gamboa. Only Nationalistic idiots would believe either one is scared of the other. I agree. I think the hardcore nationalistic fans of any country are usually the ones to assume that fighters can be scared of other fighters. And the way that Gamboa and JuanMa acted in the ring during the post-fight interviews looked as if they genuinely liked and respected each other. When they pointed to JuanMa, Gamboa had that "oh sh.it, what's up bro" happy look right before he greeted him.

I'm neutral in this Boriqua/Cubano beef, but I honestly think Juanma would beat Gamboa, simply because I think he got a glass chin... but then again, I think both of them have weak chins so I dunno lol... should be a good fight when/if it happens.
