I've seen so many American fighters go to Europe to fight, wtf are you talking about?
Same reason why people are laughing at Allen Iverson for playing basketball in Turkey right now. It's like saying "damn, I got called up to the Major Leagues! Playin shortstop for the Yankees, kickin ass, winning World Series...might as well tear it up with the Durham Bulls." Vegas is the center of the boxing world. Period. You fight in Vegas, you've made it. Same can't be said for fighting in Nottingham, Berlin, Copenhagen, Moscow, etc. etc. etc.
America is the home of boxing,as much as the euros dont like it thats simply the way it is
The top british fighters know they must go over there and prove themselves if they want any credibility within the boxing community, south american fighters do this too and its a way out of poverty for a lot of them, its only european fighters that seem content too stay at home and protect their titles but thats fair enough if thats what they want too do,its the euros on here screaming about how good their protected fighters are that is annoying
That said, aot of american boxing fans are pretty stupid and have double standards for different fighters, hatton is a bum apparently, simply because he lost too the 2 best fighters of our generation, thats what you call retarded, but you get used too it with the yanks on here

1."why do American fighters stay in America their whole careers?.....:scared:"
Not all do in fact a lot of successful American boxers have at one time or another fought outside the USA. Yes they spend the vast majority of their careers in the USA but the answers for that are blatantly obvious, Economics, fanbase, television exposure, convenience and like with most things, you do your work in the country you live in.
2. "why do American's call european fighters protected when they stay in europe?......."
Again not all do but I will admit that I also believe that there is a perception by some people from the general public and from within the boxing industry in America who hold that view. Maybe they have a superiority complex about their nations standing in boxing and feel that other nationalities are not as good and therefore should travel there to fight "the best". But America aren't the only country who have people who think like that in general and not just about boxing.
3."why dont American fighters fight in europe?......."
For this refer to answer 1.
4. "why do American fighters lose when they leave America?........"
They don't always lose. When they do though it is normally for the same reasons any fighter loses, because their opponent was better. Yes the hometown fighters always has an advantage, there are controversial decisions, yes a hostile crowd can affect some fighters performance negatively and the judges but some fighters thrive of it, some fighters just don't travel well being away from their comfort zone and some could care less where they fight.
Anyway generally fighters fight within their home nations especially Americans and Europeans. We have the economics to make it both possible and even attractive to do so among other reasons I've already explained.
There are poorer nations who's fighters travel all the time to earn enough money to live, like commonwealth nations on the African continent and eastern europeans who have fighters traveling to the UK and Germany all the time to pad the records of prospects. In the USA you have fighters from south American countries traveling all the time as well because the pay is better.
O.K so I've had a go at answering the four questions you asked. Although I would say that to me it seems more like a critisism of the USA and its boxers than a genuine quest for knowledge on your part which is sad. America is after all a great country with a proud history in the sport of boxing.
And I'm from the UK.
Because American networks like to promote American fighters and will pay big money to do so.
It's the same reason why Haye and Klitschko don't need to fight outside of Europe. They are marquee fighters and make more money in Europe than they would anywhere else.
The only problem is, when you have two marquee fighters in their prime for instance - Calzaghe and Jones - both are so big in their respective countries that they are reluctant to fight abroad because economically the risks outweigh the rewards. I mean, why fight the best in your division on foreign territory, when you can fight a couple of b-level fighters on home turf for similar money?

Besides all the hungry american challengers going overseas for the heavyweight title.
To explain the rest, most of the #1 fighters in each division are american or live in america. So if you want some, come get some!
Still butthurt about Hatton coming over to the US and getting trashed by FLOYD MAYWEATHER??? The man all you bums LOVE TO HATE????
What about Amir Khan gettting trashed in 1 round by AMERICAN Prescott? (He's from the Americas(columbia) and now resides in the united states!) You don't see Khan rushing to avenge that loss hahahaha
There's no fighters in america there all bum's bunch of women over there
who you got to hype on about ?.....illegitimate son's of America AKA immigrant's manny pacquiao and Sergio Martinez 36 an 2 championship fights lol lol and the cowardly floyd mayweather hbo need to get some new fighters oh yeah i forgot you got a bunch of women over there
first of all americans go to europe all the time. but it depends on the division. steve cunningham fights more often in europe than he does in the states, why? bcuz thats were most of the good CWs are at, hense where the interest and the money is. almost all the americans who challenge the k bors go to europe, and when they dont its bcuz the k bros choose to go to the states to grow their reputation.
but in other divisions where its the oposite, where the majority of the top fighters are from the states. its only natural thats where the majority of big fights will be. for most of boxing history americans dominated the sport, its only recently that europeans have been able to keep up. but the US have been where the best fighters went to prove themselfs for many years, that doesnt change overnight. and still it has changed alot, the change couldnt have happened much faster than it has imo.
so i really dont know wtf you are talking about..
haha, that loser got sent back to england twice, ****ing loser.:lol1:

The euro is stronger than the dollar
number 2
america is not the whole world
1) What does that have to do with boxing?
2) Nobody here claims it is.
That said (and no matter how much you wish it were otherwise), the most money and prestige to be had boxing is still here in the US.
When you talk about the euro and shout that we're not the whole world, you only highlight your short-man's complex...
are u serious??? lol...u make more money boxing in america than u do in any other part of the world. similar to what the other poster said, thats like asking why american baseball players dont go to play in japan.
theres better competition in america, better exposure and access to the biggest fights. the top 3 boxing countries are in the western hemisphere. nuff said.
This plus you have to score a ko to get a draw in Germany.
:bsflag:
The euro is stronger than the dollar...mayweather vs pacman will get 50 million U.S. dollar a piece when you put that 50 million dollar in british pounds there only getting 31 million a piece
The top 3 boxing countries are america, uk and germany guess what 2 of them countries are in europe
NO ONE OUTSIDE AMERICA GIVE A SH!T ABOUT BASEBALL
