Would you want judges to be able to review tape and overturn decisions when in the replay when its very obvious lets say on a knock down it shows someone pushing someone down and it wasn't caused by a punch,so he wouldn't get a point for that knockdown?
Or overturn a decisions to take away a point when the punch didn't hit below the belt line ?
Give the ref a little pack on his belt with a button that he can push if he misses something, and have a second ref watch the fight on TV at ringside with a little red light that comes on whenever the ref pushes that button.
The ref outside can only be used if that button is pushed.
Clarification is between rounds and once the next round starts nothing from the previous round can get looked at.
I could go for something along those lines.
I think that would be to cumbersome and may be too time consuming. I'd like for there to be a 2 judge system. Basically where you have your three standard judges that judge as they normally do, and then each judge essentially have like a back up judge, or micromanager if you will. Perhaps fostering discussion between each rounds, talking and make sure a fair round is given. I think it would stop those fights where two judges are seeing a 114-113 or 115-112 fight or a draw, and the third judge scores is 119-110 or something and isn't held accountable for what exactly he saw
Thats one thing that simply cant be done
Yea i agree with the above posters
Only cuts should be reviewed, kinda like only Homeruns in baseball
Anything more would make it too robotic and take away from the flow of the fights

It would have to be really limited, knockdowns and cuts/injuries. Anything else would be to much to not interrupt the flow of a fight.
I do think they could get knockdowns and injuries done in the time between rounds though.
Also it would need to be consistent across the sport at least for fights on TV.
I wouldn't be too eager to use it for knockdowns, but I think it could be really useful for determining whether a cut was caused by a punch or a headbutt. We can call this the Bradley Rule.
