I was watching espn deportes and the reported asked him about a "problematic issue" (translated) and gamboa simply responded that he couldnt talk about it and that he was ready for the fight. Does anyone know what happened?
i think the ibf its the only one that has that rule, salido lost his belt before losing to gamboa that exact way. i guess garcia is going to fight a noone now for the ibf belt , everything worked out for his trainer i suppose
holy crap dude, thats exactly whats gonna happen lol, i saw that comin from a mile away....
It's good to see IBF actually follow through on their rule. Prevents fighters from putting on ridiculous amounts of weight after the weigh-ins. I guess this was a case of Gamboa missing the weigh-in rather than him being overweight though, a shame. Not that the belts are overly important at this point.

That's bullsh*t. These sanctioning bodies are getting worst and worst every damn day. Makes fighters not even care about being a Champion when u think about all the extra crap that goes with being a Champ of a certain sanctioning body. On top of that, you gotta cough up 100k or 200k everytime u fight.
I agree 100% with you, but why Yuriorkis would refuse a second day weigh in???? I think thats a good idea to prevent fighters to weight in 20+ pounds overnight
'Yuriorkis Gamboa will lose his IBF title tonight after his bout against Jorge Solis, whatever the result, because he refused to weighin at a second day weigh-in.'
thats what i found
thanks man thats exactly what happened
