I say Glen Tapia , sparks him out.
Much respect to Molina. Much respect to both actually. But Lara was exposed , he might be a bit overrated.
I say Glen Tapia will beat him. Chavez Jr and Canelo when the time comes.

WTF is Glen Tapia?
Styles makes fights, tricky boxers make Lara look like a ***** cause he can't land the straight left consistently and doesn't (yet) adjust properly. Canelo has poor defense and great offense. Lara whoops his azz.
lol.. anytime a fighter has a less than spectacular performace hes a hypejob and got exposed, then fools wonder why promoters look to protect their fighters reputation.. clowns..
lara had an off night, i think he had fallen in love with his power and underestimated molina. he spent all night looking for the uppercut, molina realized that and took advantage.
molina isnt a bad fighter anyways so theres no shame in having a draw with him, no shame in losing to him either. molina is solid, he can beat good fighters and those same fighters can come back and achieve good things in the future which is exactly what lara did.
lol! Oh how things change smh:boxing:
I don't remember this thread, but calling Lara an exposed fighter based on having trouble with Carlos Molina is really dumb.
I love it when someone digs up these old threads. As it turns out, Carlos Molina is indeed a solid fighter (as I knew he was), and Erislandy Lara took him lightly in their meeting. Lara should've lost that fight on the cards, but also should've outclassed Molina. Tonight Erislandy showed what he can do in a big step up against a fading P. Will.
not sure how Lara is "Overrated" when he never was "Rated", I might be the only guy on this board that even talks about Lara
he has a Off Night...get him a Rematch and he destroys Molina...but all this is expected form this forum after every fight people either OVERRATE a fighter or they Underrate a fighter
Lara beat himself IMO, if he did what he done in rounds 8, 9 and 10, then it would have been a EASY FIGHT for him
as for "INSIDE FIGHTING"...NONE OF THESE CURRENT FIGHTERS HAVE GOOD INSIDE FIGHTING, only guys that are good inside is Juan Manuel Marquez, Ward, Hopkins and Glen Johnson, most of these guys AVOID fighting inside all together
Lara will learn from that match I am sure and yes I though Molina won as well
1) But...Lara is better then this..
2) Did you hear his trainer before the fight? They where expecting a 1st rd KO.
Didn't like the vibe off him at all.
They underestimated Molina.
1) I think so too. But...
2) What if they don't have the sack to contradict this big ego kid? Maybe they let him implode out of cowardice?
Lara is better than that. his promoter or whoever kinda failed him imo because he takes the right step in fighting gary brewer then they go backwards and feed him four complete bums in a row who he ko's all in the first round. that doesn't teach him anything he learns nothing. so tonight its like he was looking for that big punch instead of using strategy.
This^^^
The Lara that fought tonight would probably get outpointed by Canelo.

Lara looked one dimensional to me. He was throwing his uppercut over and over again even though it wasn't landing ****. And the way he threw his left was way too predictable and was looking for one shot.
I think Canelo would beat him in a clear UD.
Lara was just way overhyped, and he kinda looks small for 154. I'd pick only Gamboa out of all the Cuban boxers right now to have a great career. Lara, Rigondeaux, Solis and rest of the guys all boring.
Just because, Gamboa is more exciting doesn't necessary makes him better.
I disagree , Baldomir, Cotto's bro, N'dou and Tyner are 10X much better than Molina and that is the truth.
Alvarez has underrated boxing skills, he would outhustle Lara to a close but clear UD.
We will have to agree to disagree. I think Tyner is best Alvarez has fought so far and I don't think he's better or tougher than Molina is.
Lara would out point him by an 8-4, 9-3 type of margin.

Who me??? Oh, I'm a nobody. Just a fellow boxingscene poster who is letting another one of our fellow posters that its foolish to disagree with the Guru of Boxing that is you. Lol.
:lol1:
I guess man, :boxing:
idk man, this was a big fat dud by Lara. I think Alvarez would would bang Lara. He was gettin backed by Molina. Canelo would do the same but with 3-4 punch combos and ends up folding Lara.
thats what impressed me about molina..he was smart enough not to stay within lara's range then clinched, it was very smart a hustle......canelo is too one dimentional , lara boxes circles around him imo....
Hey! Don't ever question if he is on any type of drug. Jrosales is the smartest boxing fan here on boxingscene. We don't know sh*t compared to him. What he says is the truth and we just have to go with it. Even if its different from what we originally thought.
:haha:
Who is this guy?
