Im not condoning the Mayweather/spadafora fight, if it happens but in all honestly how does Spadafora compare with the current crop of light welters.
ps, leave the "hes a bum" crap for the other thread, ive seen a enough fights of Spadafora to tell this guy has skills...
I will say it this way
IF Mayweather fights this year
it will be Spaddy. Everyone is in agreement with everything and no one else is being mentioned
That's an unsettling response, to say the least.
I can only pray you're wrong.
:lol1:
Why not?
Paul's been sold a tad short IMO.
What's the odds of Mayweather actually fighting Spadafora in your opinion? I see it as unlikely.

amazing that we arguing the merits of one Paul Spadafora in the first place
he was a good solid lightweight champion
a decade ago

his reign ended in 03..castillo fought floyd in 02..casa went tyo lw briefly in 02..corrales came back from jail at lw in 03
I didn't bold Castillo so why are you responding to Castillo?
Casamayor nor Corrales were even close to being considered Top 10 at Lightweight throughout Spadafora's entire reign. And were never ever ever considered to be an opponent for him.
So no, they weren't.
No they weren't.
And what does this have to do with anything? I'm not suggesting Spadafora was the best Lightweight during his reign. He wasn't.
I'm just identifying he fought as many Top 5 fighters at 135 when he fought them in 3-4 years as Clazaghe did his entire reign at 168.
That's all.
how dare you compare spadafora to calzaghe 48-0>46-0
No they weren't.

how can anyone know what spaddy has left?
Well, he's beaten the same amount of fighters that were in the Top 5 in the division he was in when he fought them as Calzaghe did at 168.
But let's leave that one for a rainy day.
Paul Spadafora at this stage is a joke. Simple as that.
no castillo,no corrales,no casamayor..there were all fighting at lightweight during his reign
i didnt says hes never done anything..i said who has he beaten of note

he's barely ranked in the top 100
he's not going to get a shot at floyd mayweather, gents
no need to call the guy a bum for having his name thrown around by others
he probably loses to everybody in the top ten at jr WW. it's a very good division.
he's also a very sound professional boxer who has in-ring qualities that the younger, more talented guys in the top of these divisions can certainly learn from
Absolutely. Thus the second part of my post...
You said he's never done anything of note, which is untrue.
However, now? He's a joke. Doesn't belong in the ring with anyone that's average.

that was damn near a decade ago man and at lightweight....we're talking bout 2011..hes never i repeat never even fought at 147..just catchweights with nobodies

But what he did do was be a legit titlst at 135 and had 7 title defences and was considered in the Top 3 at 135 for multiple years. Beating top 10 and even Top 5 contenders.
He was a solid fighter, seems people are either new to the sport or forget that.
However, in his 2nd career he has been a joke and has no business fighting anyone average.
