It's from both the knee and the punch. I did my meniscus just recently and it was just from bending down and picking something and twisting myself.
The wide and awkward stance doesn't help him and a hard punch to the temple is what finished him off.
I thought Vitali hurt him with a grazing shot too until i saw this angle, where he clearly loses his footing before the punch lands.
Loses his footing?? Seems to me like hes just trying to come in low.
Solis would have to work his way back into a shot but if he manages to do that I wouldn't mind seeing it, he was making it interesting, although it was only the first round.
Cool story bro....

He slips and all his weight shifts onto his right leg while he tries to regain his balance, he's having trouble putting weight on the right leg which causes him to wobble and is unable to bring his left leg back because of this. He falls back trying to avoid the incoming punches and the rest is history.

How are you able to pinpoint when the injury occured?

Video doesn't lie, he slips before vitali lands. - Fact
He possibly does slip but it's the apparent delayed reaction to the temple shot, and him teetering one leg to another (I.E putting all his weight on the strained knee) which seems to have done most of the damage.
to everyone claiming this **** about Solis owning the first round...a championship fight goes to 12, the first ain't **** but to study your opponent. Can't claim anything for what Solis showed in a minute of action
The guy is meant to be regarded very high, was undefeated and was going for his 1st title shot and still came in out of shape. If he didn't give it his all then, I don't care for lard ass to get a second chance.
no way. Vitali is ending the end of his career, and I dont want Vitali to waste his time fighting a Solis type of opponent again.
the injury caused the end of the fight, but I dont care. that was Solis' one chance. he should have gotten into better prep for the fight.
If he EARNS another title shot and Vitali still happens to be fighting, then we can talk.
HELL NO
Solis was clearly hurt, wobbled and knocked down by a deceptively hard right hook counter punch from a very heavy handed 6'7 250 lb monster. He never saw the punch coming. The punch fucked up Solis' equilibrium, disoriented him and made him do a Judah chicken dance.
Vitali wins by 1st round KO
That soft Cuban bitch got :owned:
END OF THREAD
Check my sig, Solis clearly slips and hurts his knee before Vitali lands anything.
