Is there any chance of this happening? This fight ending up as a "KO" is ridiculous. The punch that vitali threw was blocked so to say that the "knockdown" was caused by a punch is ridiculous. Exactly, Solis used his slick head movement to block the punch with his temple.

no contest? lol no chance, it was the punch that sent him down. vitali would've destroyed him in round 2, solis was wobbled bad.

The KD itself was not caused by a punch. But Solis got wobbly legs after the punch and thus twisted his knee. Legit KO.

The only one this becomes a No Contest is if they rule that Odlanier Solis is found to have taken a dive or what have you. However, that's not what usually happens, so it's unlikely. As far as the referee letting him walk it off, the only time that happens is when a leg gives out on them, a low blow or rabbit punch causes the pain or a fighter gets his hand caught in the rope or something along those lines. If it's just based on a knockdown, then he's not required to let the fighter walk it off. This was a horrible situation. Can't blame Vitali, though. He did his job and got the stoppage. Awful, but it happens.
