Because he's a bum. Who cares if he KO'd a shot out Edison Miranda? Froch would trash him. Abraham would trash him. Glenn Johnson would probably trash him. Ward and Dirrell would embarass him. Kessler will probably trash him and expose him once and for all when they fight. Shiit Jermain Taylor would embarass him winning on points until he got KO'd with 1 second left in the 12th round. Wow, really? :lol1: Bute has the skills and the size to put down anyone in the super six, HOWEVER untill he actually gets matched up with some of them it's all speculation, hatin and half assed biased opinions. If it gets done, Kessler is a good start.

So who Andre Ward fight on his resume ? Kessler. Yes I agree...and ... ? Thats it. Allan Green ? He isn't better than Andrade. Miranda ? It took 12 round for Ward. Bute knock him the **** out. Bika ? Bute actually beat him when he was in his prime. So aside Kessler, Ward hasn't achieve anything worth mention. Yet, he is a gem here. 1 answer: He is an afro-american, fighting out of the USA. If Bute was black and American, people would go crazy over him. He might not be the best 168, but there are some legit argument. Andrade wasn't a screw job at all. Yes, Bute made a fool of himself, but if you know anything about boxing rules. His hand weren't on the floor, neither his knees, when the count of 10 was over. He was standing up. Bute outboxed Andrade 11 round of of 12 and KO'D him in their rematch. No need to talk about that anymore. Its not like Andrade pulled a Douglas on Tyson type of surprise... Actually when both fight occurs, Andrade was in the top-10 of the SMW. WAR BUTE! Honestly, only Ward and Froch have a "chance" against him. Abraham? Magee actually isnt that bad a fighter you guys. ok, hes certainly not as good as the guys in the super six...but he is top 15 in the division. seeing as Bute cant fight anyone in the super six, Magee is actually a fairly decent opponent, although of course not a great one.

ok, I dont think Bute is the best guy at 168 or anything, but there is no way that the 1st Andrade-Bute fight was a 'screw job'. Bute got up before the count of ten legitimately, and literally the fight was over by then. The ref was crooked no doubt, but it did not have any impact on the knockdown in the last round. Bute got up legitimately, and the fight was over by the time the mandatory 8 count was finished.

Hard to get excited for this guy, every time I see the guy I just remember him making a fool of himself against Andrade the 1st time. Not being professional enough to leave anything in the tank for the last round, getting KO'd and being on the benefit end of one of the biggest screw jobs in boxing in the past 25 years.

Wake up. he's the second best. andre ward has a better body of work than does bute of late let's not kid ourselves. bute was knocked out by liberado andrade. bute made a poor decision staying out of the super six he froze himself out from the big fights when he gets the chance to fight somebody other than the brian mcgee's of the world then he will get the attention he deserves

not great, shouldnt be a threat to anyone at the top of 168, but gave Froch a damn good fight a couple of years ago. think it was about 5 rds each before Froch landed a bomb and Magee got stretchered out. Bute will probably win by KO, but i think Magee will surprise a few people in the fight he puts up. yep Magee got stretchered out. And Froch had trouble with him before that, dont make it sound like a 1 sided beat down cos it wasnt. QFT. As far as mandatories go it isn't a terrible opponent at all.

He isn't giving boxing fans anything to talk about. His KO wins over Andrade and Miranda were good and he was just starting to be talked about more. Then he ruins his own momentum by fighting Magee. That's worse than Khan vs McKloskey.

There is more talk and debate when people have different opinions and when a fight is hard to call. Most people don't know much about Magee and everyone thinks Bute is going to win by KO. Magee gave Froch a good fight but that was 5 years ago. Since then he hasn't fought the best of opposition. The top guys shouldn't be losing to a Magee. But it would be interesting to see if Magee can make it harder than people are expecting. This, obv im hoping Magee sparks him but i think he gets KTFO himself. but i think a lot of people will be surprised at how much he struggles with Magee before he gets the KO. It'll be an entertaining fight.

Hah, no. Bute hasn't done nearly enough to prove himself as the best 168 pounder. Beating some face-forward brawlers doesn't count, however spectacularly you might do it. Ward, Froch and Kessler all have far better resumes. I actually think that Bute will eventually prove himself to be the best super-middleweight, but for now he isn't close. The reason no-one is talking about Bute is that he is fighting another stiff in Magee and he'll knock him out with ease. This right here except I think Ward beats him and possibly *** Froch.

True, I was focusing more on the fact it was 6 years ago. Magee is not a bum but hes Euro level at best imo Cant disagree with euro level at best, but he's more than capable of giving most of the top fighters a good fight. He turned down an easier fight for a strap against Sartisan for this fight. He'll put up a good fight. He's gonna be as hungry as hell. He's gonna be a good test for De Gale if that fight gets made at the end of the year. Unfortinatley i'd have to pick De Gale, but i think he could ask a few more questions that Groves or Smith can/could.
