Yup totally, he can easily defeat opponents who tries to counter punches and use defense but when an opponent is an all out brawling type he will get exposed.
Theirs a reason why all his opponents are tailor made for him just like Pacquiao.
You never see Pacquiao fight straight up defensive fighters.
You never see Martinez fight straight up brawlers.
Pavlik was just winning, the pace and control of the fight was leaning in his favor until the next cut opened up. We all know why the cutman couldn't stop the bleeding and with two cuts like that I don't blame Kelly for losing. But I've always wanted a rematch and I would take Kelly to this day still, if he's healthy.
I saw the same as well. But I would now take Serg in a rematch. He was a bit indecisive in that fight. If the rematch does happen, he wouldn't let up from start to finish. Same way he did to Pwill. Only bad thing I saw from Serg is that he takes time off on some rounds. Not sure at the moment is this are glimpse of stamina issues. If not, some fighter to take advantage on those rounds. Better keep his discipline up.

No I'm not, you just made the letters extra big to make your point stand. Pavlik wasn't dominating though in all seriousness but he was outboxing Sergio, proving my point that Sergio is slick and strong but he isn't the best boxer.
He had a couple of good rounds and then got brutalised for the remainder.

Yeah we did, and we saw him win all 12 rounds http://myboxing.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/manny-pacquiao-vs-joshua-clottey.jpg
Just like he outworks every other defensive fighter.
to be fair, Clottey is NOT a defensive fighter. he never has had particularly great defense.
he just is terrible at mixing offense with defense...its all or nothing. Pacquiao kept throwing and kept him in defense mode all night, and he couldnt get any offense off.
I think Sergio's weakness is Kelly Pavlik to be honest, he was picking off punches and actually started DOMINATING the middle rounds of that fight once Kelly figured him out. However, its too bad Pavlik is a raging alcoholic and once cut it bled like an open faucet. I think Kelly is done, but if there is a good boxer out there with some pop (Carl Froch) they'll beat Sergio I feel. Its too bad Sergio is calling out WW's though, as he won't move up to face anybody at the moment at least. Its funny... I hear this excuse that Sergio just moved up and that guys like Cotto/Mayweather need to come up and fight him... Its obvious Cotto is an extremely small 154 pounder, and Mayweather has only been at the weight once for the DLH fight (Not that the vagina would ever fight Sergio anyway.)

actually brawlers would be a field day for him, countering and ring movement all night.
a smart pressure fighter that can force him to fight on the inside would give him hell however. his stamina isnt the best around, and he doesnt seem to care much for infighting.
plus his age is against him now (36- how long can he continue for), so if you make him work every minute of the fight itcoul be trouble.

you just owned him.
i think he's got tremendous conditioning and was blessed with a great engine by god
he just fights like he's on fast forward
he's gotta take a break at some point
i got a chance to see him at foxwoods
he moves around the ring like he's on a string
would you agree that maybe he doesnt yet have the best "mental" stamina?
as in fighting 12 rounds of a world championship fight isnt natural to him yet?
according to the boxrec he fought a 4 rounder in '08 lol
you mean he doesnt know how to pace himself, or rather is too excited in the ring and wears himself out? its possible.
all I know is that I have seen him get tired in the later rounds of fights, and I would expect a fighter to have success if they tried to exploit that.
