You guessed it...
Hits: When Mayweather, who has won titles in five weight classes, actually fights, he is one of the best in boxing history. There is still a chance (remote as it might seem these days) that he will wake up and decide to challenge himself and give fans around the world what they want -- the mother of all showdowns against Manny Pacquiao.
Misses: Mayweather is a part-time fighter who is closing in on a year of inactivity, which soon will mean an exit from these rankings. The past few years of his career have been very disappointing because he fights so rarely, and when he does, the fights aren't against the best that boxing has to offer.

Floyd last 3 fights he fought smaller fighters like 140 Hatton and 135 Marquez then forced them to move up in his own weight division (147) plus his fight against past his prime old shot grandpa blood drained Mosley should be dropped Floyd long time ago from any P4P list. Then when you considered his fake 2 years retirement and 1 year vacation. BOOM! Pac fighting Floyd leftover because Pac been trying to sell his book to Floyd a for a long time now. The title of the is.."101 How to Send a Boxer into Retirement." Pac already shown to Floyd, sent Oscar and Hatton into retirement but Floyd still doesn't want to buy his book. Now Pac scheduled to fight Mosley. Pac hopefully Floyd will buy his book this time around after sending Mosley into retirement as well.:boxing:
ROFL thanks for the laugh. Floyd would've schooled Marquez in 130, in fact it would've been more brutal since Floyd let his hands more in the 130 division - Floyd was the best in the 130 division not 147, Morales would've been embarrassed, Cotto would've put up a good fight and Margarito punch stats would've been hilarious.
Agreed, though I think Cotto may have won.
i agree with everything you say here bro but, you're leaving out a lot of information. I'm not giving floyd tons of credit for beating oscar, but manny vs dlh was literally one of the biggest scams in boxing history and purely a money making fight. dlh hadn't made 147 in over 10 years when he fought manny, and the pac camp even had the audacity to put a rehydration limit on his weight. he came in on fight night at 147. Pac actually weighed more than him in the ring at 148. This is a complete joke. They didn't give any official fight night weight for either guy in the mayweather vs dlh fight but as a dlh fan u know very well that dlh was at least 165 in the ring on fight night. Like i said, i'm not giving floyd massive amounts of credit for his win, but the pacvs dlh fight was a complete scam, and anyone who truly knows boxing (pac fan, floyd fan, or neither) knows that.
lol!!!!!!!!!
no, more lies again. he was not in the welterweight rankings or p4p rankings because he was inactive for more than a year
lol at tune up excuse, he fought marquez because he didnt want to fight a top welter
a prime pac, mosley, cotto, margo and kosta at 140 would have beaten the living hell out of him
as long as he has nut huggers like you making excuses for his pathetic fights, he will keep doing it
you dont know **** about boxing, you are a disgrace of a fan excusing the bull**** he has done
oh and yes, the pac vs mosley fight is also a big pile of bull****
i aint a fan of either, i call them out on what they have done, i aint a nut hugger like you. oh and clottey was a damn good win, for me his best win against a ww because he beat cotto in my eyes. clottey is a good fighter, the very definition of a high risk low reward fighter, very underrated.
if floyd fought marquez at 130, he would have gone life and death with him as well, in fact he would have gotten his ass whooped. a prime marquez against a prime mayweather at 130 takes floyd out. a prime morales, cotto an margarito also take out floyd at their respective weight classes

Oh, and Sergio at number 2 is just bullsh*t. He beat an unranked Kelly Pavlik, and Yahoo had Paul Williams at 3 P4P but everyone else had him either off the list entirely or way at the bottom when he fought Sergio. Sergio is a great fighter, but his resume leaves A LOT to be desired, if he wants the #1 or #2 spot he needs to move up to 168 and beat some real challenges if there is no more left at 160.
Okay, three points:
1) http://www.publicorgan.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/u-mad1.jpg
2) "if floyd fought marquez at 130..he would have gotten his ass whooped." I honestly can't tell if you are being serious here. Do you understand Floyd is probably the best super featherweight of all time? I know you don't think so, because you're an irrational critic of Mayweather.
3) You're post is full of ramblings about "oh so and so in his prime at their best weight would have killed floyd!" but you still haven't said who, other than Pacquiao of course, was a better option for Floyd to fight in May 2010. I'm really curious to hear who you think was.
I don't care if Floyd fought any of the following whether it be in or out of their prime. But its just the simply fact that the top 5 WW's when Floyd was #1, were don't know order but: Cotto, Margarito, Mosley and Clottey, its sad that Manny faced all but one before Floyd did.
As far as his wins:
1. Oscar - Who hasn't beat Oscar, the guy has 5 losses for a reason he was always a great draw and made great fights, but he was never a great fighter.
2. Hatton - Did anyone actually think Hatton would win?
3. Mosley - This is the only fight I give Floyd a pass on. He got ducked by Mosley himself a long time ago because Mosley stated Floyd wasn't a big enough draw (sounds familiar?) I see Floyd going down this same road.
4. Marquez - Not only did he move up TWO weight classes, Floyd didn't even make the catchweight and most important even after the fight Floyd himself called it a tune-up, watch the HBO post interview.
5. Castillo - Floyd lost the first time.
6. Judah - Judah is a good win, I always thought he was a solid fighter.
7. Baldomir - 12 losses, 'nuff said
8. Gatti - 10 losses, 'nuff said
The truth is Floyd IS a great fighter and he COULD be one of the best of all time. He has all the tools and for all the crap he gets for having no power, he has enough to keep you from swarming him non-stop. His weakness is he has no drive to prove he is the best, he just runs his mouth about. I can say I'm the best race car driver out there and win the Daytona 500 each year, but if the only race I participate in how can I be taking seriously, its the same issue with Floyd. He not only fights very very little, but the guys he does fights are always the easiest fight, there is nothing wrong with that, but you can't claim you're "the man" by doing that either.
Media HYPE, but all the fans but his Pactards know that Martinez just climbed to #1 and Manny has to win impressive to win his seat back. There's no merits at this time to keep Manny as #1 but blind hype.
I agree with everything you say here bro BUT, you're leaving out A LOT of information. I'm not giving Floyd tons of credit for beating Oscar, but Manny vs DLH was literally one of the biggest scams in boxing history and purely a money making fight. I'm not giving either one of them credit because I think Oscar in his prime at 147 beats both of them. Both the Floyd fight and the manny fight were money fights.
I give you credit because I expected you to come back a lot worse and not so objectively. I can respect that, you don't have to agree with me as long as your able to be oblective. Props to you.
Look you trying to give Floyd all this credit for beating Oscar but discredit Pac is garbage. I was and still am a big Oscar supporter, but Oscar had not won a meaningful in years. His last big win was against Vargas. Mayorga was tailor made for him, and had nowhere near tyhe skill Oscar had, the fight was a complete mismatch. I followed Oscars entire career. I was a teenager hen Oscar was in the Olymoics and watched his whole career and by the time he fought Floyd he was a shell of his former self, and he still fought him to a split decision. So before y ou start discrediting Pacquiao for this fight, you can't turn around and give Floyd credit like it was some major accomplishment. Before you start yelling pactard this Floyd hater that, I am neither. Once again this is coming from a DeLaHoya fan.

Jesus what is it with Pactards and their revisionist history? Hatton won a welterweight title and was undefeated when Floyd KO'd him.
Mayweather fought DLH at 154 for a legit title (not a vacant catchweight belt). Your boy Pacquiao fought a f****** 147 emaciated version of De La Hoya who had to be medically rehydrated. (little known fact, Pacquiao actually outweighed Oscar on FIGHT NIGHT).
And the Mosley/pacquiao fight is considered garbage because Floyd already had his way with him. Mosley came begging to roach on multiple occasions for a pacman fight, and he was willing to go as low as something ridiculous like 142 or 140 and he still had Team Pacman all shook. Only after Mosley looked bad in his last two fights was Manny willing to fight him.

Mayweather only moves down through inactivity, that's the only reason Pac got the #1 spot.
might as well put RJJ and SRL in there then... cuz yknow, theyre inactive like floyd lol
Hatton was the lineal 140 champion when Pacquiao waxed him in 2 rounds. His best weight was 140, this is not a point for debate.
Pac was 1 fight removed from fighting at featherweight when he took on DLH who had been fighting at a 150 catchweight. So in the span of about 8 months, Manny had to climb up 3 weight classes while Oscar had to shed 3 lbs. DLH was the 2-1 favorite and EVERYONE outside of a few people picked Oscar to win by an easy KO. How'd that turn out? :lol1: Floyd had to jump from 147-154, one weight class and all he could muster was a boring split decision against a shot Oscar.
Fighting and beating Cotto (who beat Mosley) made more sense both logistically and financially. Roach doesn't pick Manny's fights, Arum does.
Cotto beat Mosley, Mosley beat Margarito, Margarito beat Cotto.
By May 8th, Pacquiao will have beaten ALL of them in dominant fashion. So all your arguing is just like trying to p*ss in the wind. Pacquiao is the #1 P4P fighter on the planet and an ATG, nothing you say or try to do will change that FACT, but thanks for playing anyway :bottle:
Pac is the current #1 P4P fighter and an all time great, but if you are going to sit here and try to convice yourself that Pac's wins over Hatton and DLH were more legit than Floyd's then you are ignorant plain and simple. That would be like saying that Floyd's utterly dominant win over Marquez was more impressive than Pac's wins over Marquez, simply not true because of when they fought and the circumstances.
I'm a Floyd fan and I have no issues with these rankings. I think at this point u could even put Donaire at #3. If Floyd doesn't fight this summer he should no longer be ranked.

Feel free to respond to any of the points I made...or do you just want to show everyone that you can post pictures too?
****s been beatin to death man.. anyone can rip any fighters resume.
