I'm personally not a fan of that.
I don't think Arum should have brought Margarito to the podium. I know it's to promote the fight, but he knows there's some bad blood and that was Cotto's time, it's a little disrespectful.
But I think Cotto should have shaken Margarito's hand. Just keep it professional.
But I'm seeing people call Cotto a poosay for shaking Margarito's hand....first of all, shaking his hand would have been the right thing to do you primitive hoodlums.
But the fact remains...he refused to shake his hand. I don't know where you guys are getting your facts from. Doug Fisher and Kevin Iole, both of whom were actually there said that Cotto refused to shake his hand.
Just thought that should be cleared up...

Thats your problem right there, Dont believe everything that you read from some of this journalist.
Haha yea keep believing that sht. Thats is why tito destroyed oscar too rite? Tito just schooled oscar rite put him on his ass huh.
Remember campas? Who you mexicants called the next coming of chavez?!?!?
AHAHAHAHA! Tito never lost to a mexican !
They definitely shook hands, but you can tell by the way Cotto didn't even bother looking at him that there is still some major bad blood there. And :lol1: at Steward's handshake.
As big of a Cotto fan I am and as much of a peice of **** Margarito is, I'm glad to "see" that Cotto did infact shake his hand apposed to refusing like many reported. On a side note Don King had me laughing my face of through out the promotion with the whole "VIVA PUERTO RICO".

Someone on the site posted a video a day after the fight, and they did shake hands...
I agree man why would he look him in the eye? Also which eye does he look at after pac man rearranged cheatos face? Seriouly speaking that was messed up on arum, that was cotto's time to shine. correct me if im wrong but didnt cheato say he would kill cotto next time they fight? I hope they do fight and cotto beats him down........
Yeah OK, Margarito got suspended due to gauze. Uh huh...
Only wives should be this blind.
I'm glad he beat the snot out of Cotto with plaster, I'm a sadist. I enjoyed watching his face get all shredded by plaster. I L O V E D I T.
Cotto doesn't respect that piece of **** plasterito. That's why he did not look at him in the eyes. You can tell that the mexican/american margacheato has no class (which is not surprising to most folks).
be a man and admit you made a mistake.
What I said was blatantly wrong....it's not that difficult to see or admit.
However, I do not get paid to report accurately. Two highly reputable boxing journalists do.
And this example goes to show how the media makes things up in boxing as well. Just the same way they blew out of proportion a little piece of gauze that was applied to Tony's wraps against Mosley and they claimed it was "plaster of paris" blocks.
WOW!! you really can't be serious...Remember Capetillo? The scumbag that admitted that he slipped that **** in his wraps?!? I guess that when they tested the inserts all they found was gauze huh?!
Cmon man, you know better.

"Despite Cotto‘s politically correct answer, it’s clear that there is bad blood between the two. When Arum introduced Margarito at the post-fight press conference and the disgraced Mexican walked to the dais to offer Cotto his hand, the proud Puerto Rican refused to shake it. When Maragrito began talking to the media, Cotto abruptly left the press conference."
That's Fisher.
Iole said the same thing.
Blame irresponsible reporting, not me.
be a man and admit you made a mistake.
Out of all the Cotto fanatics I didn't think you would fall for the early vids/article drama. lol
Don't see what's wrong with trusting the word of two very reputable boxing journalists...especially when the video of the presser on here doesn't make it clear what happened.
do ur facts before u make a thread puto.Ur on the same level as them lol
Score above 80 on an IQ test. Then talk to me.
It is easy to assume in the first vid that circulated that Miguel didn't shake his hand, since the camera work was awkward. But this vid was shot from a good angle. Steward didn't even give him the proper hand. There is no respect for Margarito. This fight must happen. There is some good hate brewing there...it has potential to be a career ending fight for both of these guys.
